A former Typhoon man - gone to the dark side. All good bro, looking at those photos, I can forgive you. Love what you've got in mind for the build as well. I prefer the look of the car without the spoiler.

So the XR8 has spent a holiday with the boys at Bluepower getting a few parts fitted in preparation for a KB hopefully to to far away.

Once again the service and customer care provided by these guys is outstanding.

During its holiday at Bluepower it received,
1 7/8" S/S Extractors Difillipo
Twin 3" S/S cats and exhaust to some nice twin 3" chrome tips Difillipo
Mellings Billet Oil pump
Malwood option3+ Clutch
Xcal3
Custom Tune

Power wise it made 226rwkw baseline with the Air box already on it, then with all the above it made 270rwkw and damn does it sound good!!!

and while i was in a spending mood I bought some 20'' GT 335 wheels so at a later date I can fit Brembo's cause the stock 19's will not fit brembo's. Its very weird as I'm never one to go for wheels but it was more necessity to fit over big brakes than anything. Im in two minds weather to sell the 19's with the pirrelli's or not.

Crap Instagram photo just cause. Hopefully get some decent pics tonight of the exhaust as it will be up in the air for a service.

Personally i am with you. Thats not to say the 335 wheels look bad coz they actually suit it quite well, i just reckon the 19's looked better. But as they wont fit Brembo's i guess they had to go lol
cheers

I really liked the 19's but they don't fit big brakes so it was more a point to make it look factory and fit the big brakes.

Cheers Daniel,
Exactly the plan a simple 400 would be nice, Its got the base soundtrack just needs the screamer over the top.

It was a hard choice to choose what wheels to get I could have gone the GT or now GS look wheels, but really they are nothing different and as I was buying new wheels it needed a point of difference yet still retain the factory look. I'm not a fan of big black or chrome wheels more a sleeper/Factory look.

Yeh i know exactly what ya mean. Could have gone silver argents but they are pretty common and not exactly that different to the last set. Always good to be abit different but retain that factory look. I went the charcoal mk2 F6 wheels on my blueprint BA for that exact reason and i love em.
cheers mate

Personally I love the 335 GTP wheels in 20" on your XR8. I wish the FPV factory items came out that size. It will look even better when you have your Brembos on there. If you don’t mind me asking can you order them in wider widths? i.e 9.5"

Powers is a healthy increase to. Going from 290kW to around 360kW at the fly is a good gain.

Cheers gary, Yeah I noticed you have these wheels they look really great in black on you car, it was another reason I chose them as they looked so good.

Yep A bit different but still looks factory.

270rwkw is pretty good I think for just an exhaust and a tune, If it had cams and a twin throttle body it may be a bit disappointing but I'm defiantly impressed.

Thanks Mate, i really wish they came out in that size from factory too. The Brembo's will fill out the wheel well let alone stop me better! They only come in 8" width at this stage if they came wider I would have got them. I believe it is a health gain too.
