Default WT Fiesta weird ticking noise when ignition switched off

O.P.
I have a brand new fiesta Zetec (just on 1000 kilometres) and as soon as I turn the ignition off, I get a series of fast 4 tics in a row. It's instantly as soon as I remove the key from the ignition. It's not the motor cooling as its at the exact same time and always 4 fast tic tic tic tic noises. To describe it- its the same noise like an oven igniter.

Not sure what it cold be, immobiliser engaging? Anyone know what it could be or other fiesta owners experience this?

Ahhhhh so it's just not my car! Never heard of it before on any car. Unless it has something to do with the Powershift.....

Not the powershift.
Our manual Zee does the same.l
Obviously some type of shut down sequence.

Our Fiesta does it as well. Our Focus makes a similar noise, although it happens a minute or so after you turn it off.

This member posted a download link, with instruction, on how to do it myself. One week on, the unit hasn't played up once. Three different dealers told me to virtually 'Live with it.
