i had a crappy BA XR one in mine for a month or so, the only issues are:

1. the airbags are different, you can plug a BA airbag into the AU plug but no guarantee that it'll work properly, didn't want to find out (BA is a dual stage and AU is a single stage airbag)
2. the BA steering wheel sits further out from the indicators/wiper stalks than the AU wheel, i fitted some BA indicators/wiper stalks to solve this.

i think theres some photos in my build thread.

Cheers Cam

I have a better Q ... why would anyone want to do this? There are much nicer AU wheels than anything ever fitted to a BA.

T1 TS50 Steering wheel (Auto ESS)

BA Option wheel

Keep the AU wheel, if you wanna upgrade, get a T-series wheel...

I was lucky enough back in the day to be able to walk into Roman Autotek in Rhodes and get one new off the shelf for $200-ish

Now finding one in poor condition is not that easy.

I have a woodgrain Momo wheel that I will be putting up for sale in the new year, came out of my Series II Fairmont Ghia (and have the Tickford compliance plate to show that it was a factory option)

ba ones are a fair chunk cheaper, 11ty times easier to find, and imho look more modern that the au ones. but then i always thought the au ones were over rated. and most definitely over valued.

id throw a ba one in my au if it was simple enough.

because this is a modification community, and some people are quite open minded.
