Default [QLD] Next B-SERIES cruise

Hey people. well was thinking it would be good to get a big group of us together and do a mt tamborine run...its been ages since i was up there last...maybe organise it for a month from now or something. anyway just chasing interest or ideas, away from the sunny coast lol. im sick of the same scenery so any new ideas would be sweet ;)

i remember when i had the ute i went on an awesome run with the xr6 turbo club. had about 20-30 turbo's all going through the mountains.sounded great :P so hopefully get something big happening here...

maybe even a sunday tambo cruise then on to the spit at the godly in the afternoon.....

i dunno suggest something and see what happens, thanks ;)

would like to try and get everyone along, and no1 to have an excuse for not coming :P

Suggested alternative meeting spot - The Bearded Dragon Hotel at Tamborine Village, in the valley on the western side of the Mountain.
If we meet there theres room, toilet etc..

There will be sod all parking on the Mtn on that weekend, wont be much down at George's Jew Lizard Hotel either, however thats a better option. And it gives two choices for a Cruise:
1. Up the Hill, )Sam wont like that cause the corners are tight and the boss will stumble) then down the other side coming out at Oxenford, near the M1.
2. Go around through Canungra, up the Hill down the t'other side coming out at Nerang, again near the M1 or just through Canungra tunrn left anf go up to Tambirine via the 'Goat Track', Sam will like this one cause it's straight, well pretty much, and the weight of the Boss will head to the rear of the car providing more traction. At the top of the Mtn head down to Oxenford coming out near the M1.
Choices, Choices.................

Geez. I'll have to get the front sway bar fitted before I go on any cruise. These XR8's have awesome power but the handling in standard form ain't so great.

Not to hijack the thread.... but do you really think so? The car definetly feels more "sure footed" on the road due to the extra weight. But I find that cornering is not as precise due to the extra weight at the front. I mean going through roundabouts with a bit of speed shows that the car lacks a bit of agility. The sway bar should fix this problem by flatening the front out, thus improving the handling.

Anyways, I still my baby !!

Michael, remember Montville-Palmwoods Road, you had to jump on the brakes a fair bit cause the 8 is real nose heavy, you left me for dead in the straight parts but I was on your hammer through the corners. ;)

I'm a maybe on this cruise too.
