Default Speedo for KC

I have recently bought a 86 laser to which someone has put in a 87 dash are they compatable Speedo and other gauges arnt working. I dont know anything about Lasers. Is the speedo electrical or mechenachial.

Thanks VippiN Do you have to take dash out to attach speedo and is it mechcanical or electric

Mechanical I believe. You just take the speedo out (takes 2 minutes) its held in my phillips screws behind the black plastic surround.

Three plugs (or two if no tacho) fit straight on, if there isn't one for the tacho grab one from a wrecking yard and attach it to the +V on the coil.
