Default Replacing clutch assembly on 1998 Laser LXi

Hi there

My first post and a technical question. Had plenty of mechanical experience with a variety of vehicles but I have never replaced the clutch on this model.

My partners Laser is showing signs of a slipping clutch which means the plate is probably on the way out and needs to be replaced along with the pressure plate and release bearing.

Anyone done one of these models? Tips and hints appreciated. Any manuals or pdfs available for viewing would be a huge help.

Cheers

no unusual traps

special tools required
clutch aligning tool
torque wrench

the motor can stay in and take the gearbox out from underneath or

you can take the motor and gearbox out and fix other things on the way back in
such as CV boots, seals and the engine mounts
