Holy cow, you can get a major service done at other good service place for $270. :/ But I guess that would've void your warranty?

Yeah the Ford dude quoted me $265 for a minor service. --sigh--

Yep, I paid about $240 I believe.

Pretty cheap when you compare it to other cars (My current car is about $350 for a minor service at a local Renault dealer.... I can't wait to see a major [which is 7,000kms away]).

But yea, the Fiesta was great, considering it's service interval was every 15,000kms. Never had the chance to do a 30,000kms service, as I sold it 1 week prior to the booking.

Cheers

Geez, $350-minor service!

With your RS Clio, do you have to service it every 10,000kms or 15,000kms?

Yep! $350 for a minor service at my LOCAL dealer. Instead I'm travelling about 40 minutes away for a service at another Renault dealer, which was $270 (Muchhhhhhhh better).

Every 10,000kms... :yeees:

Yeah you can use the $80 to cover that 40-min journey.

O well I guess I have to make sacrifices to maintain my Fez AND be able to get the stuff I like. Which is totally fine by me.

Not so, HyperKid, you can have it serviced anywhere, so long as you can
a)prove a service history.
b)prove it follows the manufacturers recommended servicing shedule and all items in the service schedule were done.

eg: we had a hyundai come in that had never been serviced by dealer, but the owner showed a full service history, and his repairer signed stat dec to say he followed hyundias schedules. hundi warranted the engine.
*you may wanna request the repairer use gen parts tho, some oil filters (non gen) still dont have flow back valves in them (big prob for toyotas rattle rattle on start up)
