Wednesday night Race 4 Real off-street meets continue to be one of the most popular events on the Sydney Dragway calendar and it’s quite easy to see why!
Here are some great performances from last week’s Race 4 Real at Sydney Dragway. Top Holden of the Week  This week’s top Holden was taken by this immaculate Torana, the roaring lion ran consistent times all night with a fastest pass of 13.33 @ 87.6MPH. Top Ford of the Week  We love to see anyone and everyone down at Race 4 Real on a Wednesday night, this Ford Territory turbo is not a common sight down here but with a fastest time of 14.65 @ 96.5 MPH proved its place on the track. Top Japanese of the Week  This little Datsun was sharing its drag duties on Wednesday night, both drivers running consistent low twelves all night, though one lucky driver found his way into the elevens with a 11.90 @ 115.5 MPH; making it our top Japanese competitor of the week. Top Rotary of the Week  It’s hard to dislike the Mazda RX7, this particular incarnation choosing to take a modest approach in styling and number plate choice. ‘MEHH’ was not the case as it turned out with a fastest time of 11.14 @ 123.8 MPH. Top European of the Week  If you use the internet more than three times a week, chances are you’ve seen Mighty Car Mods EJ25 Beetle; the little vee dub running a fastest pass of 12.80 @ 116.2 MPH to round out its night. Commentators Pick of the Week  Commentator’s pick of the week went to this big ol’ XT falcon, a classic shape that doesn’t seem to be going out of fashion anytime soon. This particular car taking a mild approach to exterior styling and modifications with a final time of 13.302 @ 103.8 MPH. Race 4 Real is on every Wednesday night at Sydney Dragway, weather permitting. Keep it safe, legal and off the streets! Gates open at 4:30PM and racing starts at 6:00PM.
