Default Does any insurance company give the club member discounts??

Hi everyone,

I forgot to ask at last nights meeting if any insurance company gives club members good deals?? The insurance on the GT-P is up for renewal and I am currently insured with Shannons, but it doesn't hurt to shop around!! If no company gives us discounts, who do you all insure with??

Cheers,
Greg.

Try LSV Greg, they won't touch daily drivers anymore, but if its your second car, that sits on the garage a bit, I'm sure they'll do something. When they came to a meeting about 15 months ago, he said they'll do a deal for club members. I rang him back in Oct when mine was up, but they changed their policies that week, so they don't cover daily drivers anymore..... Frank was the guys name, at Lumley Special Vehicles.

Hi Greg,

Shannons do low kms (called limited use) as well. When you do under 5000kms a year it really drops. multiple cars = discount, and if you have a CAMS licence that apparantyl gives you a discount as well.

Frank at Lumleys is always willing to help- but as brad mentioned some of their policies have changed. Never hurts to give them a call though..........

Cheers

10% discount for a CAMS licence on top of all of the other multi policy discounts. adds up to a decent price drop when you have a few cars, house, contents, undisclosed extras, and then a CAMS licence too. what can happen is that your discount earned from your CAMS licence will be more than what the licence itself costs, meaning you make money, even if it's a small amount, from racing. now that's a rarity!
