Default XM Falcon Identification

Hey,

Jus wondering if anyone has any knowledge of the codes and what they represent (e.g. month of manufacture, body type, colour and trim etc...) on the tag for an xm falcon. I am trying to find out the original details of mine.

If so could they please post these up or message me as soon as possible.

Any assistance would be much appreciated. Thanks.

not seen a concise run down on the Xm on the web. i think at jan 1965 ford changed its plates and coding - so late xm's have different plates to early Xm

but heres some help:

heres the codes for jan 65 onwards - if yours is a late XM it may conform to these:

heres the model number codes:
http://www.fordforums.com.au/vbporta...article&id=267

heres the paint codes:

http://www.stormloader.com/falconccwa/colourhint.htm

heres how to read the XP numbers- may be similiar to late XM:

its been asked on here before - if you use the 'search function' at top of page can find threads with xm numbers in it

or else post up the numbers

Thanks very much mate. I did a search and found the last two links you posted earlier yesterday but did not find the first two you gave me. The second link was good. It contained some of the info I was chasing.
Thanks again.
