Default Thanks Autotech! 11's done.

Just wanted to post a note thanking Spiro and the Autotech guys for helping me get 'Shahin' into the 11's. With a 11.9 under my belt the next step is to get down under 11.5 which is going to happen shortly, the MPH is there, just need to get better at handling semi slicks..

Autotech - As per normal the service and attention to detail that is provided by all the team continues to impress.

Regards

M G

What's involved in getting the car into the 11s... besides the tune (which we know is a major factor) but usually the most significant part is the grippier slicks, weight reduction (i.e. gutting the car's interior out and dropping the exhaust), tuning with octane booster/racing fuel?

Master G, your XR6T is it an Auto or a Manual?

For an XR6T, it is not required to go that far into gutting the interior. A superior tune with more boost, high octane pump fuel (98), good exhaust, super sticky tyres, larger intercooler and an auto that you are ready to blow up, then it is there for the taking.

Hi Guys, MG hasnt been on in a while so ill give you some info on his car.

XRFPV8, the car is an Auto
SSbaby, As MG's Signiture states, he is running a full APS phase 3 kit. The car has had an engine and box rebuild to hold the power. On the night MG was running a set of semi's.

Hopefully, with a bit of prac on semi's, the car will hit a low 11.

Sorry guys flat out at work, best MPH was 125 so I know its got a low 11 in her. No weight saving except to remove the spare, I was using Semi Slicks for the grip for a best 60' of 1.9 which I know I can drop as well, first runs with the semi's and wasnt ready/used to the motion that they can bring. I am also running a 2800rpm stall converter.

The good news is 'shahin' is my daily driver, keeps all those fooly sik bro's in line, chopped by a Taxi ;)

I am planning on my next run for the first week of November, so if any of the group are around say hi!

Regards

M G

My posts where from 9 years ago, but with your config 11's should be easy, is an auto or manual that will make a difference, with the auto no problem.

What turbo did you upgrade to???

Standard fg xr6 turbo will not make 380 rwkw.

Who me?

I have been a couple times.

380 rwkws should net you a very low 11 and over 125 MPH
