hmmm, headlight covers aren't the cheapest things. Best to source them from a wrecker if you can. Brand new they can be 1200 bucks.

check out www.fordparts.com and search in the model section for 2000 mercury cougar. Should find something there as a last resort!

Make E-Bay (USA & UK) your new best friend and you might be able to find what you are looking for, maybe not right away but they will come up sooner or later.

There are few on UK Ebay and not expensive to buy but they dont want to ship overseas in the first place and if you are lucky to find one, its expensive to ship across. I tried 6 months back and this is what happened.

I got a pair from the UK after I had my prang and it was just a question of tracking down some wreckers on line and then working things out. You need to remember they are SELLING and we are buying for a car that is not that popular so they are keen to help out.

Yoga is right shipping from the UK is expensive but it is worth it.

You have another option to save $$$. There are some guys who repair/restore headlights, windscreens, windows, etc. They can actually repair cracks, chips, holes on glass or plastic headlight shields.

Welcome! Great to have another Cougar owner on board.

Those cigarette lighter surrounds are quite mischievous! I forgot that mine was missing when I purchased my car as well. For this part, if you have no luck anywhere I'd go to Ford as it's one part that doesn't (or didn't) cost an arm or a leg to replace when I needed to. But that was 5 years ago...

Glad you're enjoying the car though - post some pics when you get a chance!

Dan
