Heads up guys..

At Thursday night's Council of ACT Motor Clubs meeting one of the delegates reported that ACT government inspectors will be on deck at the Shannon's Wheels 2011 event (27 March) to check that all vehicles have a drip tray underneath them.

There may be penalties involved. A drip tray is anything that will prevent staining of the ground beneath. Bring along the empty beer carton from the night before.

I've scratched myself from the day. Phoon is in Sydney getting a bit more surgery and I don't expect it back for a few weeks.

Phoon - is that a botox job or an augmentation?

I have just read the post by 'rag top' regarding the drip trays required for the upcoming 'Wheels' display - thanks for the heads up, as it is the first I have heard of it (and I am sure, are many others!).

However, I must ask some questions;
- was this supported by the Council of ACT Motor Clubs?
- have all clubs/members attending 'Wheels' been advised?
- must you have a drip tray?
- will you be issued a fine/caution/penalty if you do not comply?
- what is the penalty involved - financial, non-attendance or other?

I appreciate you are the messenger and do not wish to stir the pot, but I am sure this will raise many more questions and issues.

*I am from the ACT and display my cars at 'Wheels'.

It came from the Secretary of the Council of ACT Motor Clubs via email
Quote:

Nope.
Quote:

They have requested it in the past.
Quote:

Waiting confirmation
Quote:

see previous response.

I've also asked that they update their website, as not all attendees are members of clubs associated with the council.

Dave, slight augmentation.....just helping it breathe a little better on the exhaust side, with a nice manifold care of 6Boost. Peak power is unlikely to change as the turbo is at its limit, however midrange should pick up a bit. Also swapping the vernier cam gears for the VCT gears. Verniers seem to have lost a bit up top so going back to the factory gears to get the benefits of variable cam timing with the stage 4 Atomic cams..... and this will require a retune of course
