Chairman's Award: Chairman's Award - Issue reason: Your outstanding contributions to this community have not gone unnoticed. IN my view you are a worthy recipient of the (rarely used) Chairman's Award.

There's a newer one presently on Junkmail:

https://www.junkmail.co.za/classic-c...4a63f6dd032df3#

Price translates to about $7K-ish, so a little dearer if you brought it over, than the other.

I remember the P100 from the 90s in Europe. It was quite popular by tradies.

South Africa had Cortina utes since 1971. They even had an XR6 Cortina ute in 1981 (V6 Essex motor). It's not surprising that they had an XR8 in 1984 (this was a Sierra, though).

Maybe we are behind the times compared to their automotive branding

Tech Writer: Recognition for the technical writers of AFF - Issue reason: Outstanding work on the FG ICC issues. Technical Contributor: For members who share their technical expertise. - Issue reason: The insane amount of work he has put into the Falcon FG ICC is unbelievable. He has shared everything he has done and made a great deal of it available to us all. He has definitely helped a great deal of us with no personal gains to himself.

They will always be TC's, TD's and TE's to me (I had a TD) but a V6 sounds like a nightmare to get parts for here.

Not sure about this car but the Mk3 Cortina's in good nick are very hard to find for sale. I owned a MK3 (TD - 1976) with a 200 6 cylinder engine, sorry I had to sell it, but my wife was pregnant with twins and we already had 2 kids, very hard to fit 4 kids on the back seat. Damn, miss that car still

there have been all sorts of niche car based utes around the world over the years. My favorite was the Fiesta based Bantam

all the better now that there is a C2 based one in the works

$12.5K for something that's only good for parts

The Essex engine might be useful for someone rebuilding a Zepher maybe?

but I think it will remain unsold at that price
