Looking at possibly buying a ten year old Canter with major electrical issues.
What’s support like here, in terms of dealers and parts? Asking in case I need a new body module, PCM or cluster. |

I think new parts might be getting difficult, the Japanese consider 10 years to be past their use by date.
2nd hand or repair/refurbished is more common these days. Fuso has had quite a checkered history in the recent past, as has Mitsubishi its parent. Currently I believe they are an offshoot of Hino, which is part of Toyota. Dr Terry |

Parts are not hard to find its the bull Crap prices they put on it here in Aus for some parts, I bought heaps of parts from UK for mine, plenty getting wrecked over the pond and compatable with what we get here.
I always checked prices with JTB parts, and found some of the genuine stuff they parralel import was reasonable. Most parts for older Jap trucks are being re manufactured in India.
Lots of common new chassis parts are made which fit variable makes as well. My own older Traders use various new Isuzu suspension parts. Plenty of great truck suppliers in and around $ydney. Was owned by Daimler dating back to when they merged with Chrysler. Only just recently have they merged (both of whom) with Hino, after many years of Daimler trying to offload it.
Truck wreckers seem to hang on to stuff longer though. Globaltruckimports is a good supply for aftermarket parts.
