Default Nulon Ultra Cool

Thought I would get my 98 series 1 AU ready for the summer heat today so I went ahead and did a coolant flush and put in a new thermostat while I was at it.
I refilled with Nulon Ultra cool, it contains no glycol (what is that?),and is approved for motorsport use, I thought being approved for motorsport use,it might just give it an edge as they run hot at the best of times and it was only $10
I have heard good and bad about nulon,I did my diff with the gearbox treatment and it is like new, I am very happy with that,but the question is have I brought the right stuff for my beast as I would hate to cook her.
any advice would be appreciated

might I add that it seems to run cold,followed all directions,genuine Ford thermostat but the needle sits just under the N or just on it,I thought it might sit on O going by what I have just searched,flushed the system completely and refilled to exact specs on the bottle

thats probably part of the reason it's running cooler, and the fact that it is new coolant, did you bleed the air out of the system properly?

I was going to get this for my AU, but was told it was no good for cars with aluminium radiators, so I've never bothered myself. Can't see why it wouldnt work but I just bought the Ford antifreeze/boil to be on the safe side.

Yep I certainly did,no air in the system at all,everything seems fine,no problems there,the car has always ran pretty cool so maybe just normal?

im pretty sure glycol is the stuff that makes your coolant antifreeze or antiboil or both.

i know a while ago there was a coolant that was not safe for iron and aluminium at the same time use, might want to read the label.

i think the "approved for motorsport use" thing just means its not flamible or wont casue too much trouble if it was dumped all over the track

Basically what you have put in is just a lubricant for the pump and a anti rust and corrode in there, so your water will still boil at around 105deg and with the au's they run around 90-100deg so your not playing with much. But if it runs cool then it should be ok.

Sounds like a nice product. I am also using a glycol free coolant. Glycol is an anti freeze.
I ain't in victoria so I dont need it
My AU's rad (original from factory) ain't aluminium.

i would change that coolant asap.. you are meant to have an even mix or glycol and water. 50/50. and was the thermostat you got the standard one with the correct temp.. if not, change instantly too.
