I thought that your post was reasonable, until that bull*hit comment you made about trucks wrecking the roads. If you really are a civil engineer, perhaps you should switch to finance and learn about how much the transport network contributes to the economy. If the government actually spent the money that they steal from road transport on the roads, we’d all be driving on eight lane freeways between the capitals.

Whoa hit a soft spot.

What I meant is that if there wasn't so much consumerism than there wouldn't need to be so many trucks.

I am perfectly aware of the vital role trucks play and that the only reason trucking has had to increase exponentially is due to Government failure to build an adequate rail network.

There is however the problem of over laden vehicles fracturing the road base.

No offence intended.

funniest thing happened the other day.went to visit my grandfather in the nursing home.as i appraoched him i noticed two tablets on the bedside table .upon closer inspection i noticed that one was a sleeping pill and the other was a viagra.i then asked the doctor why he was giving them to my grandfather and he replied"well the sleeping pill is to help him sleep and the viagra is to stop him rolling out of bed"....

Apparently they didn't like it when I said I am going to offset their Priuses by removing the pollution gear from my car!

Aeron, you could point out that a test done in Aus with the terri on gas was actually cheaper to run then the prius. I know the test was done by the Cars Guide last year. Unfortunatly I dont have a link as I read it in the actual paper.

AHAHAHAHAHAHA! the last couple of minutes are the best! It's all about his cooling system...which you can buy photos of for a couple hundred thousand dollars, quite the bargain.

Surely this guy is taking the ? If he is, its at the Andy Kaufman level of dedication.
