Default Help? Steering me round the bush.

Ok so I am restoring my Capri steering rack, and I am just missing one part (I dont remember throwing it away so I dont know what happened to it )

The missing part is the internal bushing that goes on the passengers side end of the rack and it keeps the rack centred in the housing. Theres a picture below showing the part pictured in the manual.

So I looked around online and all the people selling the "internal" bushing for a Mk1 Capri are selling the same item. It didnt look the same as in the manual but I ordered one anyway just to see (only $8 so no big loss if its wrong). So it arrived and sure enough it doesnt fit. It has 3 "knobs" around the outside but the rack housing only has 2 spaces where they could go (see picture below).

My problem is - I dont know if I am fitting it wrong or if I should modify the housing to suit the bush..... It does fit over the rack and it is hexagonal so oil can pass through the small channels created by the internal hex shape of the bush. So in theory it could work if only I can secure it to the housing somehow.

Everyone who sells this part looks the same so I am stuck.

Any advice greatly appreciated.
