Default ORSMT-2 is finally here!!!

Well I finally picked up the T tonight just before 6pm!!!

And I just got home now, can't stop driving the thing! So nice to drive, I just don't wanna stop!

I'm impressed with the car and really happy to finally get a fell of that FTExperience!

Was too dark to take any pics, will do it tomorrow.

And also my new ORSMT-2 plates arrived in the mail today!

Thanks guys, the pics have to wait a bit, in half an hour I'm having a wisdom tooth surgery.

The pain started couple days ago, and last night was pretty bad, even with pain killers I slept about an hour or so.

Went to my dentist this morning and it he advised me to do the the surgery straight away.

Will try to get some pics on the weekend (of the car, not my tooth lol).

Cheers

Thanks for your comments guys, and thanks Tony for posting up pics!

I'm still pretty sore from the surgery today, man I'm glad its over!

Marty, this is the engine builder

I paid $17.5K for it, and with the low 78000km and all the options, I think its worth that much. When new in 2000, it was over $60K with all the options!

Thats not a bad price at all. Im look at one for $16k AU2 with 98000 on it. Around the same ball park, and your right; alot of bang for your buck.

That sound about right, does it have any options? For me deciding factor to get this one was low kays (I'm using it as a daily car) and all the options (pretty much TS specs). You're right, a lot of bang for your buck!

I looked at the T-series registry, I didn't realize they're so rare. 141 examples of T2 TE50's made, thats less than EB or EL GT's! I guess in their day, they were true GT's in everything but the name!

Thats so awesome to find a car as rare as that in, such a good condition with the little kms. Very good work, the colour is especially a stand out hard to see anything wrong with it honestly its a very smart car. How long was the production run for the T2's?
141 examples is a very exclusive amount, does anyone know where to find out product numbers?
I'd like to find out for certain how many ED's like mine were made in the same colour too ford only have numbers for trans types...

This morning I fitted two center high-flow mufflers, as the ones on the car were buggered (I new that before I bought the car). While up on the hoist, I found out that the car has stock headers, cats, and 2 1/4'' dual pipes up to center mufflers, than twin pipes under the diff into a single dump pipe (no rear muffler).

Sounds really nice, not too loud and no drone. Although knowing myself too well, I will probably change the whole exhaust system in the future lol ( benchmark is old Topgia's sound - LOOOUD!)

Also while up on the hoist, I checked the under body for any oil leaks. Not a single one, under the engine, transmission or the diff, my exhaust guy even called the mechanic next door to come and have a look! Pretty good for an 8year old car I reckon!

Still trying to find out what sort of springs its got. They're Kings (yellow) ether lows or superlows, as it sits lower than the other stock TE's I've seen. I'll take the wheels of and try to find out the spring numbers. Red Koni's both front and rear.

The front rotors have been replaced at some stage, as they're slotted and drilled (stock ones were only slotted). They look like DBA ones.

I also picked up new Tickford wings for drivers side quarter panel, as someone tried to take the old one off and broke it in half. And a new set of clear series 3 repeaters, looks much better than the stock orange ones.

Then picked up my RWC and off to Vicroads to do the transfer and put the plates on.

Gave it a quick wash (will do a full detailing soon) and me and Tony took a few shots.

I'll let Tony post up his pics lol

Looks great!! I am becoming more of fan of the T series, the more I look at them. Very understated car. I do believe this is the second one in the club. A member, I cannot recall his name, turned up to Craig's house with a red T series also, when we had a bbq/club meeting there.

Those pics are fantastic.

Seeing your car makes me want to go for a drive in mine (your car's twin)
It will be great to get these two together one day for a few pics

Cheers Jas, I agree about understated looks, nothing a set of deep dish wheels can't fix lol.

The member you mentioned is Adam I believe, with a manual T2 TE50, same color as mine, WILDT-2.

Thanx mate, hurry up and take some pics of your beast! I've never seen a T2 TS in Venom, let alone manual! You've got a very very rare one!

Which state are you from? Our club goes to a few shows outside Vic, maybe we'll have a chance of taking the pics of our cars together one day.

Cheers,
Bud

Bud

A little lower and some nice wheels like FR's or similiar, maybe some charcoal centered ones, with tinted windows, would look pretty bloody good.

When I said understated more mean't did not recieve the recognition they should have.

Cheers mate, lowering, tint and wheels are on my to-do list!

Wheels will be the same ones I had on Topgia #1, Starcorp Fusion 19x8.5 & 19x9.5, I need to fill those rear wheel arches! I just like the mesh style and the dish they have

I agree about T-series being understated and misunderstood when they came out. Only people who bought them were lucky to enjoy how good these cars are, and now that I have one I understand why.
