I was expecting the Calais front end to be more aggressive than that, like the VZ but it looks much like the BA Ghia.

The SS V Series has 19s standard, and 20s optional

I know but what I was wondering is whether that one had the 19's or the optional 20's on it because it almost looks slightly "under tyred".

Guys,

We were told;

The base model Commodore will be called an Omega, and replace the Acclaim and Executive.

ESP will be standard on all models.

Side and Curtain airbags will be available for all models.

SS V series will be the new performance benchmark, with 270kW.

Base model 3.6L 6s will have 180kW or 195kW

There will be 6 speed manuals and automatics

The Calais V Series was what we were shown

The Caprice is the new leader in luxury. Obviously has Xenons as standard, and rear LED headlights. Looked extremely classy!

Hope the HSV version looks the business, I'm no fan of what I saw of the Calais, Caprice or SS. Front end not too bad, but from the rear doors back.... yuck.

Too much wedge shape for me, too tall in the rear and the flared guards are almost over done. A bit like a over sized HOnda Accord Euro or something.

It will look better in the flesh I hope.

Yes they did, showed the Caprice V, SS V and the Calais V. Atleast i think it was a Caprice V, dont remember. Nice looking car, rear is quite conservative and much like the VY.

Dont think Holden will have any trouble moving these VE's they look great, and I cant wait to see what happens when HSV get their hot little hands on to them that should be very impressive undeed. Good job Holden it looks like Ford will have to go one step further which is great news for us !!

I think it's pretty safe to say that HSV will breach the 300kw barrier.
