Nah still too much drone and to loud IMO. As i said its your car and if you like it isnt that the aim, not to please others. Im not a fan but some maybe though, each to their own.

Well i for one dont think it sounds that bad. I used to have an exhaust system like that on my old forte and loved it. It cant compete with sound i get out of 5.0L but it was fun all the same. As long as you enjoy it mate and dont mind a bit of droning.

Mine sounds a bit like that, but with more crackle.

Inside the car its not too bad, not very loud, but outside its stupid!

I will be getting another muffler shortly!

Idle - 2500 = fart in a can
2500 - 4000 = popcorn crackle
4000 - redline = only time it sounds tough

So its kinda poo as I spend 90% of my time under 4000rpm..

love the dronning as long as you drive nice with it, not plant the foot down in the city etc it will be fine, i am thinking of putting in at least a resonator in, would the car go quieter or just a little bit, as i dont really wanna losse that sound, just a little bit less of it lol

since i have had the exhuast on, i have had no cop problem at all, i have 3 cops which live down my street and they havent said one word to me,

speacilly in suburbia, no problems at all, i got past cops all the time, and they havent got a problem with me,

cops in queensland must like our exhuast up here lolol,

but the gold coast is the bad spot for modded cars every weekend down there they are pulling people over

now they are testing the exhuast emssions comming out, if its bad, they pull you over untill you have fixed it,

cheers, lucky i live in the country

Mines sorta the same, except no real noticeable crackle, but it is quite "surprising" how it sounds after 4000rpm. The drone can be so bad in mine at 2200-2500rpm that it is quite unbearable, but no muffler or resonator will fix that.

ok, so let me get this straight... first you had an accident where your hi flow cat got smashed and hollowed out.... then you got it tested and it was fine... then a chunk fell out of it but it's not hollow.... and then it became a standard cat..?
DUDE, are you mentally challenged?
don't move to melbourne. we don't have the tolerance for that kinda stuff. and i can guarantee someone would rip your exhaust off your car if you did move down here. there's enough nasty sounding cars out there, we don't need a nasty sounding AU added to the list.

OMG LOL that had me in stitches and its funny cuz thats actually what hes said, in chronological order

please someone explain how the hell this thread is 4 pages long??? oh because someone has 5 posts in a row
you need to understand some people are not going to like some things but its yours and if you like it then who cares, if you dont, change it but to admit it sounds like crap and then complain when others agree is just ridiculous

I cant just leave this thread, it is absolutely spastic.

we've had half a dozen different mod's come in and make comment on the content but seriously.

OP, you really need to just chill, get your facts straight and LEARN TO USE THE EDIT BUTTON.

reading 10 replies in a row from you only minutes apart is ridiculous and just fuels more stupid discussion about all the inconclusive crap about your bent/broken/hollowed out/legal/standard/blocked/unblocked/still good/highflow cat.

So moral of the story, if you like the sound, leave it, if you dont, then change it. you wanted everyone's opinion and they gave it, so dont get angry if they dont like it.

and i (and everyone else) strongly advises that you fix your bent/broken/hollowed out/legal/standard/blocked/unblocked/still good/highflow cat.
