If anyone finds a full Howe leather style AU 'Lane black seat, or even just the back (I still have the original base), can you let me know? Would prefer to have the memory module from a Lane or LTD with it too, so my mirrors will finally work...

Now, a question. The Fairlane has everything the same as a 75th/Sportsman, inside and with the wheels, but it doesn't have the grey lower section on the outside, nor the stickers.... However, it also has traction control and an LSD...... Any ideas?

This confuses me....what does traction control and an LSD have to do with anything?

Not all sportsmans are two tone either.

I know where there is an AU fairlane black back seat... fronts are toast...

I can get the curtain leather from the front doors, but the woodgrain is gone from 1. What are these worth to someone for me to go get them? Leather arm rests are still there too.

Entire dash is still there too.

While its not a Ghia/LTD interior, it is pretty pimp IMO.

Custom leather seats/door trims
Leather/chrome shifter
Croc skin/chrome shifter surround
Leather steering wheel
Croc skin dash spear
Chrome handbrake button

Just turbo it, then it'd be a cheap, quick, comfy and good looking AU.

Well that is different. I reckon without the elec window switches in red it would look a bit better.

Just wanted something a bit different to the norm. The woodgrain spears on the doors didn't suit the colour theme for the car which is "black n red".So having the spears and the window surrounds red breaks up the trim from just being black.Same as the spear on the pass side of the dash.
As i said, just different to what everyone else does and makes it stand out against other interiors.

I appreciate all that, all I was saying is, I think less is more, and I think it would have worked better without the red elec window switches. The rest is good to me

Thanks for your comments and no offence is taken. Some of the fairlanes came out with the woodgrain spears and window switch surrounds, so I thought I would see what it would look like with red instead of woodgrain.
If later on I feel it's too much, it's not much hassle to replace the switch surrounds with the original black ones.

Yeah fair enough. Just FYI...No fairlanes came with woodgrain window switches, only LTD.

When I was looking for mine I found Ghias with curtain door trims, but not Howe leather. I also found a Sportsman that didn't have memory seats, but all the rest of the gear.

My Sportsman doesn't have LSD (sadly) but seems to have all the stuff you'd expect.

Did Ford have some odds and ends they wanted rid of towards the end of the model run or have people been tinkering over the life of the car... I don't know, but there are some odd ones out there.

Sorry, not much help, just my observations.

My AU Ghia was first registered on 29FEB2000. The interior is completely original. The only additions are the 'phone, GPS and my navigator 'Google' who lives on the rear arm rest. And, yes, he was so named long before you could Google on-line.
These photo's were all taken today.

I have a Sportsman but I noticed that only the driver's door has the curtain trim.
