Default Help me with wheels! I'm just a girl *giggle*

Well, the time has come to change the stock 15" alloys on my black WP Fiesta Zetec.
Can anyone tell me what the offset is for my baby ??
Also, if you have a Fiesta with non-standard wheels, show me a picture
I'm looking to get 17" wheels... not sure if I'm going with chrome or the black & silver combos.

Hi Sonia

Be sure to have a look at our Tyre Technical forums located Here as there are some links to various online tyre places.

Here's mine before I lowered it, with 17's

Here's another I put wheels on at work, this time with 16's

The standard offset is +52, but you can get away with +45, they just sick out a little.

Hope this helps, be sure to post pics when you decide on some.

Should be 35 to 40 offset. This is what most late model Fords have.

I got them for $50 Per rim. IE. The 16"s.

And as for what size it all depends. It is widely noted in the UK press that on the Fiesta, the car handles best with the 16" Rims on the Zetec, rather than the 17"s that come on the ST. (EVO Mag - 05)

If you're soleley after looks, Go the 17"s. Thats what I reckon. If you have the tyres though, Meh, go the 16"s! Especially if you have Conti's you don't wanna get 17"s and downgrade to Bob Jane Spec Nankangs!

"$50 bucks each!!!".......thats a very good price, I thought $88 was good, where or should I say how did you get em for that price Danny?
Yea, I have also read the views on UKFN and other sites regarding 16" vs 17" rims on the Zetec and it would seem the overall conclusion is that the 16" rims handle way better, I'll see what the tyre guy comes up with if I hear from him today, he may be only able to get em in one size anyway.

Dropping in to Bob Jane on my way to work in the morning to order my new wheels, 17"x7" ROH Strada's, same as these ones on Danny's Zetec.
The Bob Jane guy originally said that none were available for the Fiesta, but after a bit of a chat with him he said he would make a few phone calls and see if he could call in a few favours......"no promises but"..........he called me back in the afternoon and said that he had managed to source some 17" ones but cannot get 16" ones anywhere, he wants a deposit in the morning before he can go ahead and order them.......excellent price too I thought, $97.00 each.
I was going to go 16" so I could use the tyres that are on the car now and get away with it all on the cheap, now I'll have to cough up for 17" tyres as well although I'm not going to get the tyres straight away, too many bills coming in at the moment.....rates, electicity, telstra etc etc, you all know how it is, "everyone seems to be in my back pocket at the moment"
Cant wait to get em on the car though!!

I have 17" CSA Dominators on mine Sonia:

I think a black and machined/chrome wheel would look the goods with a black paint job. Machined finishes look a hell of a lot better than some of the nasty imported chrome wheels that come over here though.

Scareybear, didn't they stop making Arrius wheels? I wouldn't have mind some big diameter ones for my Falcon a while back but they didn't do the right offset then and since have disappeared.

As soon as I get my brand new WQ Zetec in about two weeks, I'll be deciding between these babies...

I'm leaning towards the second one.

LethalLeigh: Those wheels look cool, you need to show me a side on pic on your car, seeing as your avatar is too small for me to see them.

Swaytan: I think number 1 is best choice... although I do like number 3, but the more dish, the smaller they look.
