Nowra Cruise to 5th Annual Albatross Show N Shine - Sun 23 Oct 2016

Hello All,

The club is going to attend and support the 5th ANNUAL ALBATROSS SHOW N SHINE is scheduled for October 2016.

We will be driving up from Canberra in the morning and heading to Nowra via a route to be confirmed (Dave C will confirm the route there and back).

Event Details
When: Sunday 23 Oct 2016
Meeting Location: TBC
Meeting Time: TBC
Event Times in Nowra: 10:00am - 2:30pm (THE GATES OPEN AT 8:00AM AND CLOSE AT 9:30AM FOR ENTRANTS) so we will need to be there before 9:30AM.
Event Location: Fleet Air Arm Museum, Albatross Rd, Nowra Hill.
Cost: Pre Entry $15 per car, on the day $20 per car, spectators gold coin donation at the gate.

Pre-Registration closes 14 October 2016 so please add your name to the list before then. Registrations forms will be available at the club meetings 1 Sep 2016 and 6 Oct 2016, I will email them all in for the club so please fill in and bring payment of $15, otherwise you'll be charged $20 on the day.

The event will be similar to the 2014, with a large array of judging categories, as well as many other activities throughout the day.

Members expressed great interest in a cruise to Nowra to attend and support this event so please add your name to the list below.

Hello Allan, there was a map attached in an earlier post, we will be leaving Canberra going through Tarago but as I don't know the way that's the best info I can give.

Can someone who knows this way please give some better details ?

Last time down Braidwood rd was before Xmas, just south of Nerriga turning north toward Goulburn was pretty darn rough lucky it was a work truck, I hope for you guys n gals the road from Canberra to Nerriga is a lot better. Nerriga onto Nowra is not to bad from memory.

I can meet up just 5 mins south of the show at Yerriyong Rd, theres a small sealed section there if that suits.

Hi Guys the way to HMAS Albatross is Canberra, Bungendore, Tarago, Nerriga then HMAS Albatross. Sealed all the way. Time towing a caravan from Kaleen to HMAS Albatross - 2hrs 10 mins - just got back from Nowra. However, with all the rain there are a number of potholes some deep. I would expect that by the time we travel the potholes will be filled in - hoping rain easing. If Ray is in agreement I would suggest that we leave from BP Watson at 7pm meet at 6:45am.

For those not travelling from BP Watson we will meet at -
Location - Corner Braidwood Road & Albatross Road Nowra
Time - approximately 9:10am
At the corner on Braidwood road on the airport side of the road there is a large clearing we will meet at that point.
