Hey Giys

Sorry theres been no updates of late, Unfortunatly my mum at the young age of 52 passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on Sunday morning so it might be a little while before i get a chance to update the build.
As hard as it is to deal with im just happy that Mums last day was spent with Family and friends celebrating my Dads birthday and being out on a cruise with our local Ford club, On her last day she had the privilege to walk around a private collection of beautiful Fords including a genuine XC Cobra,XB-GT Coupe,XB-GT sedan,GT500 Mustang and many others.
I know were ever she is now she will be wearing her favourite Ford jersey and having a beer.

Thanks all
Dwayne

My thoughts are with you and your family.
May her soul RIP.

Just think, now, you have to build the coupe in memory of her and make her proud of you.

Good luck Dwayne

Thanks guys for all your kind words, I wish the coupe had been finished for her to see as she was so excitied about going for a cruise in it. It will definatly be built in rememberance of mum and i'll be taking her and dad for a cruise as soon as its done. I'll get down to my painters at some stage and get some pics of the old girl

Take care and ring your family you havent spoken to for awhile and tell them you love them because lifes far too short

So sorry to here that mate. Life can definitely be cruel at times. Hopefully you and your family can be of strength to each other during this difficult time.

There was a guy on here building his XB coupe as a tribute to his wife who passed away early on in the build - I think it was '4 KATH' , maybe you could do something similar as a lasting memory to your mum.

Regards,
Damo.

Is that an original GT bonnet mate? If not would you be able to tell me what you used and how you bent the flute cut outs on the bonnet in order to sit the actual flutes flush with the bonnet? cheers in advanced bud Nice work on the beast to mate i love it

Hey Mate

Sorry bud cant help ya there as its a genuine bonnet, I did see a thread on here at one stage where a guy had made a tool that fitted in the hole and he cramped it down to a point that it bent the recess into the bonnet.

Yeah, I agree.
Cant go wrong with a black interior,
It hides alot of imperfections and gives it a real muscle car feel :hihi:
Maybe break it up with a different colour highlight though.

Cheers Jack

This is one awesome looking Coupe!!!
I think Black is the ultimate colour for a coupe.
What shade of black is it and is the engine bay satin black?
