Default e10 ulp

normal ulp has an octane rating of 91 ron. anyone here know how much the 10% ethanol increases the octane rating?
i'm all for supporting the e10, but not if it's detrimental to my car's performance, economy etc.

you'll use 30% more juice running ethanol than petrol. Because ethanol has less energy than petrol. So therefore, a 10% blend will decrease your economy by 3%. They say ethanol is corrosive in pure form, with a 22% blend, (like used in South America) the exported Commodores have to get some modifications to run OK. While you could run e10 without mods, I'm sure the lifespan of the affected parts would decrease.

ethanol will boost the octane rating by a substantial amount. exactly how much is a guess at best.

E10 is rated at 94ron octane, according to my local servo. We tried it in both my VS V6 and our EFI VK. Fuel economy went up with both cars, an issue in the VS as it's fuel gauge doesn't work. In the VK, Calais, the consumption went from an average of 17.5L/100, on 95 RON PULP, to 18L/100km on E10. No ill effects were noted on either car. We still use E10 everyso often in the VS but the VK uses normal PULP, Optimax.
