Default O2 sensor

Might be a silly question but, how many o2 sensor's does an AU 5L have?

Sorry to take over your thread amiers, but one quick question...the only sensor in the exhaust in an ed ford falcon 4.0L inline 6 is the o2 sensor which is just before the cat...Is this correct? and cheers

That is correct, 4 cylinder and I6's will only have one, nearly all v6's, v8's and up have 2, to control either bank. And some v8's with quad exhausts have 4

V8 explorers with twin exhausts also have 4. Two in the headers and two after the cats.

The O2 sensors behind the cats are there to monitor the condition of the cats. A code is given if they are on the way out.

This info of course is courtesy of JC, who as we know loves to tinker with his V8 Explorer! LOL!
