Default Undercover Cop Cars!

Not sure if these have been posted! Some pretty stealthy looking NSW pursuit cars amongst all these!

Good add not to get sucked into squirting it off the lights with a suspicious looking SS or XR6/8!

Can pick a lot of the with the small external LED lights next to the rear number plate. Gotta love the metallic light green SS with the big tattoo type sticker on the back window! I would have given any tool with a sticker like that a spanking off the lights......not now!

http://www.nswhwpp.fotopic.net/

Can't grab te URL pic links to post a few up, but some nice looking rides in there!

The Chev badges are a new touch - we have 2 Voodoo Blue unmarked cars doing the rounds here and theyre fairly easy to spot.

IMHO I reckon at least one of them would have originally belonged to a "hoon", and they retrofitted the impounded car with the necessary cop gear.
It'd save them thousands of dollars.

See Sutherland 211 all the time. People still do stupid stuff in front of it though...

There are some regular u/c's down the south coast too. Can usually pick the led's in the front or rear screens, or the new 'nightriders' in the aperture.

Doens't really mean much to me though other than passing interest, or watching stupid people get done by them.

Personally I prefer to see more marked. People DO drive safely when they are around, whereas unless you are trainspotters like us most people continue to drive like idiots around them (and get done).

Carrot better than the stick, not when there is money to be made!

I wonder why SA doesn't have such an array of u/c's? Or do they and I just can't see them...

And what's rayon1 mean???

Yeah, u/c are easy to spot compared to the Q-cars, Honda Accord, Subaru Liberty, GTi Golf, 300C, Hummers, Jeeps, all sorts and very hard to pick.

I had a Silver FGXR6T pull up along side of me in the GT here Kal, it followed me for quite a while as I pulled up at a set of lights he quickly pulled up a long side. Man I tell you 20 years a go I would have raced him in a second and then got pinged for it!!

Very nice cars in there, but damn - we're paying HOW much for the Brembo brake packages? imagine the replace costs of the discs and pads over the range of cars over a whole year!

Melbournians don't have to worry AS much with picking unmarked cars.

From my experience, Melbourne coppers very rarely stray from unmarked VE commodore sedans and sportswagons, BF-FG falcons (alot rarer) and Territories (Turbo or N/A)
It's just a case of being careful from the lights if you have a plain-looking VE behind you, and if you look carefully you can actually see the LED party lights mounted close to the dashboard.
Another tell-tale sign is the 3 antennas mounted on the back window in a triangular formation presumably used for radio communications etc.
I know there are other makes/models of cars to look out for in SOME ares, but most of them are commodores. I have seen an unmarked Prado once in the country.

I have to say that I, like many people, don't agree with the underhanded tactics used by police and speed camera operators. Unmarked cars are not a preventative measure against poor road safety.
I believe marked cars, highly visible, will serve as a more effective preventative measure, and some cops probably will agree, not many people act up when a cop car is around and visible. I believe cops shouldn't have to "catch" people out commiting a dangerous act, they should be preventing any lewd behavior from happening.

Ye I saw a red FG I think it was, don't recall as it kind of buzzed me out a bit, F6 with the reg VIP-123 or 123-VIP heading out to Newie from Syderney airport along the number 1 a few months ago. There I was thinking nice, then I spotted the lights, then the uniform in the front seat.

Thing is how does this effect entrapment laws?? I mean if he eggs you on, sure you shouldn't have but would you have if he hadn't in the first place??

Very grey.

Umm. This is OZ, not Seppoland.
There are no entrapment laws or anything like them.

If you get sucked in, too bad.
