GM Korea? Don’t think so. Only one model currently out of Korea.

I think Holden’s biggest mistake was badging it a Commodore. It would most likely have been better accepted by punters as an Insignia.

No hurry, they kept racing the Nissan for ages after they were discontinued here.
Semantics Mr Spondoolies - you knew what I meant by 'New Camry' - ie current model.

One model or not it's still a rubbish operation, who remembers the Epica and Captiva? Absolute junk cars.

Not to worry, you'll still be able to buy a '19 badged ZB Commodore for the next few years if they still have the reported over stocked storage yards.

Sorry to see the last remaining (if only in name) remnant of Australian manufacturing history officially given the bullet.

Also, I must have missed it... Since when has a RHD Vette been announced?

I'm wondering if Camry sales will increase once Commodore departs,
the new Camry looks great and maybe more people will give it a go...

Yeah, I forgot to add, GM have delayed the launch of the Corvette to Australia, so I'm only assuming the next announcement will either be, it's not coming at all, or it'll be the halo car for the new 'Chevrolet' brand in Australia!

Having said that though, I really can't see GM investing in any new models for any GM branded vehicles for their only RHD markets, Australia and New Zealand.

The Equinox and Acadia are a one man show, the Trax is long in the tooth now with no replacement in sight and the Trailblazer and Coloardo can only do so much. If GM want to stick around, which doesn't make any sense at all, they'll probably rebadge the brand Chevrolet, the Trax will be axed, the Equinox, Trailblazer and Colorado will also wear the Chevrolet bowtie and the Acadia will go back to being a GMC. They'll probably keep converting the Camaro and Silverado to RHD in Melbourne, which would then compliment the rest of the range.

Rebranding costs lots of money, they wont do it, considering what they have just done to Buick in the US. We are at the end of the road for GM here it Australia, its just a question of when.

FWD rubbish , a car for women and company cars.

I would rather walk than drive FWD.

I will probably buy an AWD commodore in a few years just to have the last one. Park it alongside my VF and VE

See i dont buy foreign cars. I support local industry. If more people thought the same we would still have a car industry.

I completely agree! GM have nowhere to go.

They're not interested in engineering their products for RHD markets, so people that keep saying bring in Chevrolet or bring in Cadillac, it's just not viable for GM to invest in that.

Unless they get Buick in China to start pumping out RHD cars, it's just not gong to happen.

It'll be goodbye from GM by the end of 2020 for the Australian market.

You do realise that AWD system is FWD biased? Ie FWD until slip is detected.

The Chinese for some reason revered the Buick nameplate and bought bucket loads of them, but that seems to have changed. Its all SUV now with the new generation.

The Chevrolet Traverse is bigger (longer) than the Acadia and sits on a modified version of the Acadia's platform. It's also not built in RHD.

Styling wise, it probably would've been a better fit within the Holden brand, but it was just too big for Holden.

**** that **** - bring the Suburban back

Even comes factory with Chevrolet badges for +100hp

I hate SUV's on principle - but a Suburban or an Explorer would peak my interest as they're next level, massive, usually big engines under the bonnet.

You'd rather walk than FWD but happy with a transverse chassis commodore that understeers exactly like any other nose heavy FWD vehicle but with the the extra weight of a tacked on AWD system it doesn't need anyway?

Ok then 🙄
