Question I wanna to beef up my '88 Laser Ke Hatch

Anyone have any suggestions I can use to cheaply make my stock Laser sound a bit throatier and bassy?
I was thinking a filter infront of the air intake but not sure if anything would fit or if anyone makes them for this model.
Thanks in advance!

I had a '88 laser hatch once, lol, nice little car for getting around economically, but that was about it, performance, forget it, spend your money on something else worth while.
