Default Is a cleanable panel filter really cheaper?

Today I called Just Cars to update the details of the car, I told them I took off my panel filter and returned it back to the Ford paper filter as well as putting on my 16inch Rims.

To my surprise it ends up being cheaper this way by a full $68 a year which is very suprising seeing as its a just a panel filter. So with the $68 saving its actually ending up being cheaper to buy Ford Paper filters each year than using a reoilable panel.

How many people tell there insurer if there only mod as a K&N or BMC panel filter? Plus if this is your only mod they couldnt refuse claim for fitting a filter that exceeds OEM specs IMO.

Or you could find an insurance company who does not care about those kind of mods....

I really don't buy that they would drop the policy by that much just for an air filter.
