Sound like a good idea, especially the class thing.
Maybe, run classes (Forte, xr, tickford, fairlane, ute, etc), then run a grand champion, where the winners of each class are judged against the other class winners.
just an idea?

Cheers

HLC's right- I would win lol

It might not be the best kept AU in the country as it's driven lot and lots and lots, but (I'm biased anyway) I reckon it would be one of the toughest looking AU's out there.

I'm all for the comp-

Falkeen, Sylox's and Bluprnt's utes, 012's, Laminge's and Noddy's TS50's, Bucky's and numerous other XR's- I would reckon there are some great contenders for a fantastic comp here.....

Be good to publicly be acknowledge for your efforts as judged by your peers I think...

i agree with what you say, there should be say 20 cars in each catorgory and each person can post 3 pictures of there car and people can vote on what one they think is the best.

I think aufalcon.com just had a competetion like this. However, not everyone could attend the bbq.

I need to hurry up and finish up my interior & exterior. Then start looking at go-fast bits

Thinking about it, that would have to be the fairest format I imagine....

Sound like a good idea. Me personally, I modded my car to be what what I liked and what appealed to me (as do we all) but to be recognised for the hard work and effort would be a great buzz for anybody that receives recognition throughout the voting process.

OK. Well lets start the competition then.

I guess we need to start by posting some pics of our cars. How we rate them is another story. MAybe a running Tally (like atendees for the BBQ or cruises - see example below). I know i won't win the XR category, but i got some good pix. Maximum of three photos per entry.

Score tally could be like this.

1. BJMXR - 8.5, 8.0, 7.0, 9.5
2. LG - 8.5, 8.0, 7.0, 9.5
3. BUCKY - 8.5, 8.0, 7.0, 9.5
4. BLUEPRINT - 9.5, 8.0, 7.5, 2.0 (hehe)
5. LAMINGE - 8.5, 8.0, 7.0, 9.5

etc etc. How we'd work out final scores based on total number of votes etc mind you is beyond me. Especially if someone has 15 votes of 7.0 and another has 2 votes of 8.5 or something, its hardly fair. But hey, i didn't think through it too much. Just an idea.

Either way, i like the idea of this thread. So what do we do from here?

I think your car would be up there. I also reckon Grunter's TS50 is one of the hottest T-Series around.

Oh yeah- I forgot about Grunters, bloody nice car that one!

We'll have to be fairly strict about the rules too- is it favorite AU or Best Looking AU.

Me personally, I like the cars that have been modified to handle and perform better and to me, that would influence my decision to pick one car over another (for example Noddy's car over Gorans as both still look identical (excepting Matt's TS wheels)). This would also mean that people who have concentrated on interior mods could be excluded too......

Are we looking for the AU(s) with best visual exterior appeaal only?

I think we should discuss it before we jump straight into it and start posting pics, i think there should be a seperate thread for each catogory ie utes, xr, Tseries. and entrants has a deadline to have there photos posted.
Do u think there should be a limit to how many people want to show there car off or just have a deadline on people submitting there photos of there beasts

I think its up to the voter some stock cars look really nice aswell, u dont have to have a body kit and fully sik 19inch wheels to have a nice looking ride, some people just like clean looking stock cars.
I havnt done anything to my car it has a rebel body kit and a Tickford sticker on the back _2: but is a very smick car and i like it.
So cutting a long story short anyone can enter there car and its up to the voters and we cant vote on our own car i reckon

I reckon the Ranking should be based on some aspects.

Score out of 10 for:
- Interior
- Exterior
- Power/Brakes/Suspension/Stereo Modifications

We could do this through the Forum. Or maybe Casper could set something up on aufalcon.com

Orbit would beat me for most lit up AU ... hee hee.
My brain hurts thinking about it all as well.
I'l go for best commercial vehicle if there is such a prize.
I wonder how many made up awards there will be on the day.

The Dok would win the "Clayton's" AU ... the AU when you are not having an AU award

Thanks. I always like it when my name pops up and it has nothing to do with a scandal like exposing myself in public. Which i might add, I haven't done in at least the past 6 weeks :

I vote for Bucky's car's body with kit, Jims T series worked motor (or Grunters), BDs XR8s wheels, 012s rear spolier & BJMXRs suspension height. And anyone's full lairy black and blue leather T3 interior.
