Just be sure and take a chill pill before you start looking under the dash, that way hopefully all the wiring and other crap will remain in place in the event of you turning green and going ballistic

Get my point ?

Time to bump this badass thread.

Washed it and put a few stickers on, are there any ford forum stickers available? Just a small one I could put on the rear quarter or something?

Found the other photos I took, turns out my camera creates new folders and puts photos in there at random.

Alright this has been inactive for a while and will be for a while longer, I've started a TAFE course for an Electrician Pre-apprenticeship. Goes for 20 weeks and at the end i'll finally be earning some real money to continue to stuff into the exhaust.

Here's a teaser of what will be coming in a long long long time! just to get you guys excited.

Nope, haven't done anything with the car for a long time :( Just got it back from the PDR place from xmas hail, looks good as new now very happy with it.

Just curious, does anyone know the size of the globe in the fog lights? I've got super cheap vouchers and want to get globes to match my headlights being Philips bluevision 4000k halogens. Don't want to pull them apart to find the size then do it again when fitting..

x 2

I'd be guessing that list is maybe for the US models, although the fogs and some other globes may be the same fitment

Conrad, did you check the owners manual yet ? Maybe that will have the info you need on globe sizes and fitment

I just found the site where you came across that list of globes and it is a US site, however, further down the page it also lists a 2007 model as having H11 or H1 globes in the fogs, as you are wanting to get the replacement globes before dismantling the fog assembly, I'd be giving the dealer spare parts a call and confirming the fitment with them

Ok, I know for sure: (2010 Zetec LV Hatch)
Park lights: T10 wedge
License plate lights: T10 wedge (i had to trim a mm or so off the plastic on the wedge to squeeze though)
boot light: T10 wedge
Footwell and map light: T10's again.

On a slightly related topic, does anyone know how much $ and how complex swapping the zetec engine with and XR5 engine would be?
It's something im considering more for the enjoyment of the modification than genuine power increase...(my guesstimate ends up with buying a new car as a cheaper option)
Oh and Conrad; where did you get your DRL's ? I want some

I got the DRL's from ebay, $600 at the time.

I saw a XR5 that had been written off on ebay for $4500(ish) with a working engine, well that's what they claim, so I guess that's the engine cost ish there, then transplanting it in with all the electronics if you do it yourself it's just time, if you pay someone to do it it's however much that is.

http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/08-09-10-...ht_1262wt_1159

Could possibly be cheaper, depending on how much the labour is to have someone put it in for you.

I'd imagine it would be a big job, as with any other engine swap, ECU, modules, wiring, different gearbox, amount of extra sensors, engine mounts etc.

I had a feeling it would be a major mission, obviously it's not happening (if it does) till the factory warranty expires

@ Conrad: Thanks, they're still about $600. they don't run the LED strip independently do they?

Not sure, You could get some and set it up yourself inside the stock one if you're willing to open it up and stick it all in, I got it for the whole set though, is a really nice looking headlamp.

Ok so I've read people have had water in the boot hatch before, and then going in the boot and under the spare, but what about water going into the driver side rear seat belt holder bit in the rear, had mates in the car the other day and the seatbelt was soaked.. Anyone had this happen before? I'll be getting it checked out next service, that's in under 2k.

Water all the time in the rear seats both sides especially in those little plastic bits and on the floor on pas side. 2011 LV Zetec. Sucks! I put the territory outside when it rains and the focus in the carport cause of this. Admittedly it has to be heavy rain. Doesn't happen when i wash car with high pressure hose for some reason. Its getting in somewhere!

Where did you get your wheels from? I'm after a new set as I think the 16" are too small for the Eibach springs, the car just sits way too low.

Fordparts

http://www.fordpartsuk.com/shop/sear...ds=alloy+wheel

They were about 150 pound per wheel to be shipped, cost me something like $1400 AU for all 4 delivered and got here within a week. The exchange rate was really good at the time though.

By the way, what I thought was the PCM under the dash behind the glovebox turned out to be fuses. I'm afraid the PCM location is still a mystery so far

Yeah I'm not sure either lol, all I know is the guys at herrods could tune it, so one day when I get a few more things done to my car I'll head back and get a proper tune.
