Default Territory or BF xr6t or xr8 front brake caliper mounts

Looking for these so I can fit 322mm discs to my BA turbo.

Would consider stuffed calipers that I could recycle the brackets from.

Cheers
Andrew

Thanks mate. A bit more than I want to pay as I really only need the brackets off them.

I think these would work at $105 delivered from ebay... Used them on my FR and only needed to bend the brake hose bracket slightly so that the hose didn't have a kink in it.

Thanks for that! I had been looking at those initially but was a bit concerned re quality given they hold the caliper on the car. Have they been ok and is there any brand on them?

I bought those ones off ebay about 1 year ago, and I believe there is now excessive wear in the guide pin bores which is causing my pads to continuously skim on the discs.

When I recently changed my rotors and pads, I checked the fitment and it seems very sloppy in comparison to what I have experienced.

Does anyone know if front Territory calliper brackets can be used on falcons with 322 mm discs?

I believe they can (which is what I am trying to source still). Or caliper brackets off bf xr6t or xr8.

However I just tried local ford wrecker who said the callipers and brackets are identical between 298 and 322 models, but the steering knuckle where the caliper mounts is different to cater for larger diameter disc.

I'm not sure I believe that.

I put 322mm turbo brakes on my fg xr6 without an issue. Changed calipers and rotors.

i have a front pair of fg 322mm calipers and rotors too btw for $150 if your still in need of a set.

He is correct. Territory 322mm brake setup uses the same brackets as the falcon 298mm setup. Falcon 322mm setups require different caliper mount brackets however.

Calipers seem more or less the same, the 322mm variants have a pad inspection window in the top

Thanks for that. So if I'm understanding this right, the falcon has the same mount on the car and the same caliper regardless of 322 or 298mm disc. However the bracket between the two (ie the bit in the Ebay link in this thread) is different.

The Territory on the other hand (322 as standard) has same caliper as above, same caliper bracket as 298mm falcon, but a different mounting point on car (which is how the caliper is spaced out to a sufficient radius for the larger disc).

So that means I can fit 322mm discs to my ba, but I need falcon 322 brackets to fit to my existing calipers, NOT Territory brackets.

Can anyone confirm or deny that?

confirmed, brought in a pair of brackets off ebay, got 322mm rotors and they are on the car. Seem to work ok, just ordered another set for the Ghia I bought two weeks ago.

Thanks! Haven't bitten the bullet on this yet, but will when my 298mm rotors need replacing.

can confirm after wasting an hour today that the rumor of terry brackets being all you need to fit 322 discs is BS, thanks to this thread for confirming

the terry bracket is identical to falcon

You mean the terry bracket is identical to the BA/BF standard caliper?

I.e. the territory complete caliper assembly when bolted to a falcon will only suit a 298mm disc and not the 322mm disc.

I.e. if you want 322mm brakes on a falcon, you need Falcon brackets from BF XR6T, BF XR8 and some FPVs.

Gotta be precise, I'm having issues with a wrecker right now with this exact argument.

That is my understanding also, so yes, correct

Yes. Read 3 posts saying terry brackets would let you fit 322mm discs on a falcon but after doing it they were wrong. Bought my bf 322mm brackets on ebay today instead

Thanks Cav,

Please let us know how you go and what the quality of the bracket is like... might be heading down this route soon if I cant get my issue sorted.

Cheers mate.

Zombie post!

How did the eBay brackets go?
have 322mm Rotors machined and ready to go on BA - need brackets to make it work
Also - has anyone used the FPV 2 piston calipers in place of the K247 PBRs?

The ebay brackets worked well, took a standard 297mm BA caliper out to 322 without issues, everything fit like it should and looks like a standard part. I've only put 100km on them since fitment with no issues and they certainly pull the car up well!

Righto - is the bracket the same as this ?

http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Ford-BA-B...16.m2518.l4276

Advert says just need these + standard calipers and then 322mm rotors will fit

+ Add on question! Do you have 17" rims or do you need larger rims to fit, its looking like a very tight squeeze for a bigger setup behind the wheels

Yes, they're the ones I bought, same seller even.
yes, all you need is those brackets a BA-FG standard caliper and 322mm rotors. I think you may need front brake lines from BA onwards (not sure, I think I had BA to begin with). +New brake pads (au are different and you'd be a lunatic not to!)

I have S2 17" XR Tickford rims and the clearance is good.... the brakes definitely fill the wheels though!

what sort of rotors did you fit ?

I am thinking of either the DBA T2 or T3 (4000 series) slotted.

Any suggestions on suitable pads ?

..and a cheap place to get all these ?

Plain jane RDA rotors, nothing special. the extra mass and diameter were enough for my needs. I fitted the 'performance' RDA pads, all up i'm happy with the combo. I haven't used t2 or t3's or performance pads before as they don't suit my driving style.

Anything that fits a BF turbo will fit this setup.

I know the chap at this place is frequently on here
http://www.racebrakessydney.com.au/p...-t3-dba-42107s

Was doing good prices in a forum sale

I got the pair in the link for the SZ 2011 Territory, mated with Bendix Ultimate
Grabby as heck - good setup
(I did buy elsewhere but that was due to not wanting to wait over xmas)

T2 are os manufactured, put me off a bit
T3 as linked are AU made
in hindsight, that's all hearsay & rhetoric, could be made up!

I am in the same situation with my 2014 Falcon XR6, and wanting to go bigger front rotor.

Can I use the caliper bracket from BF / FG XR6T and XR8 ?
