Just spent $$ getting the rust cut out of my BA around the fuel filler area - ouch!!!

Hope they fix the location of the child seat anchor points for the 3rd row to the back of the seats so u can still use the cargo area!!!

What about the Prado, I think it is the next best thing after the 200 Cruiser, it will tow better than a Terri.

the new terri is very different to the current one.

for starters it will have the diesel motor and fg interior as everyone knows. it will have fg style rear lights, honda accord style headlights, a big mouth type grill in the front rear 1/4 panals and windows are different too.

Give me a rusty Territory any day. I havent got the right baseball cap or Pwada sunnies for a Pwado. Territories seem to be eveywhere out our way. Unfortuneately the Prado Gang are probably more adept at u turns over the median, but they both fill up at the bowser at the same interval. (unless of course the Fords ball joint fell out, they dont use much fuel on a tilt tray) SY2 has redesigned lower BJ knuckle.

It's a pity they didnt revise the design of the upper part of the tailgate with those hinges. It is going to look pretty old compared to the new front and rear end.

Haha! he does seem like a giant. makes the territory look like a lowered kuga!

I still think they should have re-designed the lot. 2004 the terri was released...Even the B-series cars lasted 6years. Its 6years now for the territory. Surely time for a re-design.

I cant find anyone to blame and dont know who either...so ill just make it easy ans point the finger at Detroit.

Well when/if the falcon goes GWRD then perhaps this will be when the Terra gets a proper change. It will be that or we get the new Explorer, which wouldn't be a bad thing either.

I see new bars, lights, and door mouldings...

*Edit, the lights look like they have mondeo style cornering lights (the ones that turn with the steering)

B series cars had alot of AU bits tho, AU doors etc.. so really the B series was a 10 year old car...

Can't see to much more from this angle but the front grill & bumper seems very open.

My workplace is outsourced the gaskets for those trusty rear window hinges (from Metts) and we still mould them so I assume they're forever gonna use them.

Very true! ill go eat humble pie now.
In the end then, if they can come up with a SUV that FG-ish inside and out, then im happy. I wonder with an FG interior, and G6/E styled grill, would there be more buyers coming back. Time will tell

Theres plenty of people waiting to upgrade to this new banger... Lets just hope all the quality issues are spot on with this one..

On another note the rear tail lights look smaller, simliar to the escape...

That car looks like a base model, standard with foglights / rear park assist it seems. I would say the new Territory will get a fair upgrade as far as what you get for your dollar to!!

New territory or ranger next year?? oh dear!

Good fresh looks. Updated FG i6, new V6TD, ZF6spd auto standard, FG interior & increased tech will surely win customers. I expect a surge in sales.

AU - BA

New hood, fenders, roof, rear qtrs, decklid, floor pan, cowl top (dashboard ), rear floor extension, and a whole heap of small stampings that go on the inside and under the car, I just know these major ones.

AU - BA was not a walk in the park, it really was like building a whole new car.

Do you think the Tdi will come in RWD or AWD-only? If the ZF is now standard on all Falcs after lilpg is here, then a Terry ZFA6 RWD tdi would be interseting and some 600kg lighter than a current LR Discovery3/4.

I'm hearing it'll come in both RWD and AWD in both engines, originally it was going to be AWD Tdi only.

Could be VERY successful !

Lets hope they can get enough engines from OS !

I dont know if its true but I remember someone telling me a few years ago that the Aussie built cars have to keep the same basic chassis for close to 10 years for some reason.

EA-EL 10 years
AU-BF 10 years
VT-VZ 10 years

Would mean the Territory would keep the doors etc until 2014 or thereabouts.
