Alot of cars turn up after the residents call and complain that a car has been parked outside there house in their street for a few weeks .

Also alot of the people who steal cars do so just to get home in style, they usually leave the car and take whatever is not bolted down though.

So there is still hope..............

With badefghia getting stolen it was a pain in the *** because it was stolen in stlkilda then the idiots decided to do a robbery in it...They where in carnegie and the cops saw em driving it but they managed to get away from them but where caught three hours later in oakliegh with it...I was lucky i only had to fix the front bar and window ingiton lock and door locks and fit a new alarm...I was lucky they got caught before they stripped the car or smashed it ...BUt because it was used in a robbery it sat in forenics for a month and because it had sat for a while low on fuel the cops tried starting it with no fuel or none in it and stuffef my fuel pump up and i had to put a battery in it but its it on the road again...TRy looking around the area where your car was stolen my mate had his car stolen and it was found at a railway station not far from where it was knocked of and it had been there for 6 weeks before any one noticed it,,,

an amazing theft and recovery story.

one of the guys in my class was doing some chef work at geelong footy club or something and his crappy holden panno van was stolen.
on the Saturday night i think it was.

that Wednesday when we got to school he told us about it. and one of the guys goes but im sure i sore your car in town yesterday. and he remembered because it was parked half up on a gutter with the window down.

so on our lunch break they go for a drive and sure enough the car was still parked in a side street.
stolen a cd wallet i think. and minimal scratching on the bonnet.

these threads definitely help because there is a good chance someone sees it.

good luck mate.

hi guys,

still no word about the EA:( ...have called the cops about 7 times now..and finally some senior seargent told me its either sitting in someone garage or at the bottom of the ocean which isnt very amusing...

If anyone see's the gold lowered EA...please let me know..likewise with any parts for sale...will get a very generous reward if the boys are caught who are responsbile and the car is still salvagable...

theres an ea looks like its been dumpt this morning on median strip of princess hwy, just on the city side of where you get onto the princess from the sth gippy this morning.

Couldn't tell the colour in the yellow street lights, was couple of lanes away, but look like it could have been gold/grey/white/anything really.
It had no distinguishing feature that made it look like yours (not your wheels etc.), from what I saw it look like a real POS, but then yours might have had a rough few weeks.
Basically all i can say was its an EA with no front plate (dunno about rear i only saw front of car) that MIGHT be a similar colour to yours dumped on a median strip so probably 99% chance its not yours, but if you know someone out this way who knows your car it may be worth a 2 second look if you and they are keen

good luck
Russ.

Well, I went past and it was a Silver / Aqua EA GL with 15" Interceptors and clear indicators, no plates, so maybe it was unregistered and placed there by police etc after a traffic stop.

So the search continues, thanks guys for keeping the tips in.

sorry about sending you out to look at a dud tip, like i said i didn't get a good look at it but would have kicked myself hard if it had turned out to be the right car and I said nothing!
Good luck with the rest of the search!

I'll pitch in for a reward for any info too, or any leads.

If it is in a garage, there won't be one after it is recovered, which I'm hoping will be soon, having driven in every suburb in a 20km square radius of the City, it must be sitting somewhere, un noticed.

Let's hope it turns up soon.

That might be what you think, but many cars are not recovered for weeks, months or even years later.

As is the example of an old blokes EH Wagon, that was stolen and dumped in Sunshine in the 1970's and was recovered by Victoria Police at the bottom of a storm drain canal in 2004.

The chances are it is parked somewhere in a Housing Comission tower car park, where cars go un-noticed by residents, given most of their own cars have no rego, been there for years, etc.

my sisters VL got stolen FROM OUR DRIVEWAY!! about three years ago. We found it the very same night it was taken- my best friend called me and said the idiot who stole it had crashed into her house. total writeoff.

weirdest coincidence ever. my sisters car being smashed into my best friends house.
My brother got a VL just last week and he is paranoid to the max about it getting taken, so he parks it right at the top of the lawn near the house, and he makes me and my dad park our cars behind his.
