Default Walbro install

Hi peoples. I ordered a Walbro fuel pump from Summit and its arrived well and good but thats all I got, the fuel pump.

I didn't get wire harness or sock filter, guess I should of asked So I decided to have a look at what

I'm up for as I've read they're a bit tricky/fidlely to install, but not difficult. First of all what a crap design with

the lid that covers the fuel sender being sikkaflexed on and not screwed on. Then the black plastic collar that screws

the sender down in place was very hard to untighten, but I managed to get it however had to abort the mission

as I had a full tank of fuel. So I haven't got to take a look at the set up but I've also read that the Walbro is

much smaller than the factory pump and thats what make the job a pain.So not being able to have a good

look I tried searching for a "HOW TO" and only found one in the XR6 section, here is the link, is this the same

procedure for the AU, mainly the wire splicing bit of the job?

Also friends as I only got the fuel pump do I need

This http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Walbro-Wi...item3c9f5596d0

and http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Walbro-Pu...item3ca13da458

and because the Walbro is pump smaller do people use this to make it a better fit in the cradle

http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Walbro-Fu...item3c9f559ef0

I know that sleeve may not work as its for noise and vibration on external pumps but I read somewhere that

someone used it for fittment. Finally if you can't use that sleeve what are people doing for fittment.

I will take pics of my install and try and do a step by step post on the subject. Hope yous can

help answer my questions and I've made it easy for you to understand what I mean

My Walbro GSS294

That sleeve will be a good thing.

PM CAT600, he will be able to help a lot with this as my memory is a little hazy on it.
