Default thinking of getting these rims

g'day,

looking at buying these rims. Was going to get dark agents but after trauling theshow n shine, the dark agents are a pretty popular rim these days and its easy to see why. I want something a little different. The wheels will be 19"

They would be going on an AU2 black xr8 ute.

Should look pretty sweet mate, maybe add something else gold on the car to tie the rims in (eg if you had a bonnet bulge have the stickers in gold) something like that

yeah, had thought about something like that.

however, the other thought was to get some black rims cause my car has the blue/black momo steering wheel, and i hate cars that are multi coloured, so rather than have black on gold, stick with black on black (or dark coloured) scheme so i can develop a blue highlight theme on a black car.

It'd be a shame to not tie in the blue/black momo wheel due to some gold rims.

Black on black is fugly IMO. Does nothing for your car after spending all that money. A deep dish looks the best on AU's so unless you need the clearance for brakes those rims are just waiting to be damaged

Get someone to photoshop them on your car for you in the different colours and see what you like best

exterior gold/black
interior blue/black

=)

Deep dish rims do look good on AU's, but thats not to say they are the only rim that will suit an AU. If yu get those wheels lined up against ya ute, and they look good, go for it.

By damaged he means gutter rash etc cos they stick out. But if you scrape a gutter your going to damage a rim no matter what style it is.

I think those would look heaps better. Get someone to photoshop them for you and compare to the others.

Damaged - as in gutter rash - but at least with a deep dish its only a minor mark around the edge - those spokes that stick out would be marked half way to the centre if you scraped a gutter

careful + driving + no alcohol = happy rims

i prefer spokes that match the lip, or at least just short of the lip (if the spokes have a fair bit of shape) i just like the look of them better.
I think with au's, they suit a thicker spoke and agreed with deep dish

The Hyper rims would look insane on your car in black dude. Definitely a worthy opponent to the gold rims. Getting the car to sit nice and low will just set off the car perfectly.

Second set for me, I think the first ones look too 'small' for such a big boofy car as the AU utes.
