I agree, when things become too competitive, people tend to forget the main aspects of the day, the social atmosphere, the good chats and the company.

It can never be said that i aim to win trophies at these events. Like Jason & Tony i enjoy spending time with mates talking about cars and stuff and learning new techniques on how to maintain the beast. Its a shame that people only want to win trophies. Its a bit sad really.

'Hell with work, I'm pulling a sickie! I'll be there. Had a very good time last year at this show, good to see diverse cars. And maybe I'll finally find those Mazda rotaries I was looking for...

As far as trophies, good luck to people that hunt them. To me, the whole point of being a car enthusiast and member of a car club is to share your passion with like-minded people, get ideas, and appreciate other cars, whatever make or model they are.

didn't say we were, just that there is a best club prize & we as a club could win it. with people saying they will forgo attending the presentation, that action will cause others to think in the same mindset & before you know it more & more will do it then you have the situation where other people see us leave & say we are up our selves because we didn't stay as we wern't going to win anything.
just because it's a small show doesn't mean we shouldn't respect others

I dont want to disrespect anyone and normally I would stay right to the end as I have for every show, but my nephew's first birthday is kinda important too. So I had to make a decision.

I must say, the competitiveness that I have witnessed rear its ugly head in the last two years has nearly put me off the car show scene. So I will not be remaining for that reason and this is no spite on the car show organizers. If this is such an issue then I simply wont attend.

Jase, the big thing is there is NO real classes for any of the ORSM vehicles.
The organisers made the club award cos we showed up again...
I would hope to think the large number of us in this club, are for the samething. Pls bring the beast ORSMFC along man.. we get great exposure at this event and there was heaps of interest last year.....
P.S pete....better bring lots of membership forms.....

cheers lads

don't know why they couldnt find a glue that doesn't turn yellow to apply the data dots. it doesn't take long for it to start looking ugly.
the dots are a good idea other than that
