Yeah I saw my first sillouette XR8 FGX from over my shoulder while riding my bike yesterday morning. Man it looks mean as in the darker colors BUT the *** end is too conservative they should of tarted up the tail lights on the XR range IMO

Watching the 12hr this arvo, a Shannon's ad came on with a couple talking about their insurance, and there right in "their" driveway, was a FG-X XR8 in Kinetic, with a fake numberplate saying "LAST 1". Was quite happy to see it actually.

Well, not great at Photoshop but this WILL be in my driveway soon. Keeping the old 5.4L plates as a memory of 5 years in my first new car. Whoohoo bring it on

FG2 GT tyre noise on factory 19s is atrocious. However FG2 xr6 rental on 18s is as quiet as a church mouse and has some serious pull for a stocker 6cyl.

That dumped G6ET looks great...just needs a little lip spoiler to set it off IMO. But if you get rid of those badges its just like a XT or whatever the base is now.

Went to Knox Ford today, all they had was a kinetic XR6 on the showroom floor and a white XR6 out front. Spent ten minutes checking out the kinetic one and just as I am about to leave someone finally comes up to me. I asked if they had any XR8's, his reply "we are done with the XR8's"... Awesome i said and then told him i'd be off to Etheridge Ford.

Finally saw my first FGX yesterday.....but it was too brief and didn't even realise until the car just passed me :P

It was a black ute driving down a main road heading out of my suburb (Trinity/Alkimos).

Only just saw the DRL's and think they were the straight kind and not hockey sticks....so that would mean standard Falcon ute?

Didn't look too radical (cause black blended in with grille, etc).....can't wait till I spot a G6ET, XR8 or XR6T in a lighter colour!

My brother just took delivery of his XR8 from Knox Ford on the weekend.
They said something similar to him. Don't remember the words exactly. But it could just be something to do with the allotments.

They have sold quite a few through there but have only delivered 2 or so.

Apparently there was a cancelled order and Ford rang them to see if they had a buyer and they did, so they got another one.

Mind you, they did renege on the contract they had signed with my brother.
They decided they didn't want to include floor mats and mud spats any more, because the deal he got was good enough.
That's a few years of servicing lost.

i just realise i now work on the same block as a ford dealer and just spent my lunch looking at them all, only G6, XR6 and some base utes there, the G6E was nice but the rest of the range just looked like falcons.
i was surprised they actually had falcons in stock, back when i bought the fiesta they only sold falcons on order and had no stock at all.

Man that sucks, i mean how much would car mats cost Ford! I got my car serviced at Knox Ford once and told them not to wash it so what did they do.. they washed it and scratched up the roof, never been back there for a service since.

My work ordered and had delivered 4 VE Commo 6oth anniversary sedans. AFTER delivery my boss had a phone call from the dealer sales manager having a meltdown, demanding they return the cars right away to replace the 18inch alloy spares with space savers. His reasoning was that my boss had "worn them down" so severely on price that they would loose money by leaving the alloy in there.
I never thought Basil Fawlty sold cars, but there you go

WTF is wrong with that dealership....can people please report them to Ford. Bloody ruining the brands public image!

That is the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard.....

If they were so 'worn down'...then why the far.k would the SALES MANAGER sign off on it in the first place....all deals must go through him before offer can be accepted....sounds like the worst dealership in Australia

oh...I thought it was weird ordering 4 dunnydores from a Ford dealership

I thought he quoted Knox Ford or whatever it was....my bad!

If it was a holden dealership then let it be....

so yeah....this thread need more FGX piccies

anyone bought a FGX XR6T or G6ET and seen whether aftermarket parts still fit....i.e. cooler kits, turbo sides, etc. or maybe its too early days ATM?

I know thanks to Kempy that the suspension and whiteline gear definitely fits....but I would guess most parts will anyways.

Hope it's a bright blue as the current range of colours is very bland ,except for Victory Gold and smoke. Have ordered my XR8 in Victory Gold, but could be swayed if the new blue stands out.

Information from a thread in Show and Shine indicates the Aero will be another dark blue. Would rather it ne a Bionic style blue though.

I hope they bring out a few more colours like red, green, purple etc TBH as there's not much to choose from...but as for this blue, it would be good if it was similar to blueprint blue.

I think we need a hot blue like Bionic or Nitro.
Other than Kinetic, the colour range is very drab at present
