hard decision, i really like the MP3 rims, they suit the focus perfectly, but scream Stock.....

the SVT rims on the otherhand.....personally....look too plain - they actually look like the KN/KQ Laser SR rims......... but its something different at least....

Thats the thing about it. I love the MP3's but I want something a bit different. The real decision will be made once its lowered and it brings it all together a bit more, but Im trying to get an idea now.
Would love some RS rims but they dont fit :(

What size are those SVT rims? They look too small. If they were bigger they'd look better I think

As far as I can tell they're 17x7 - only size they come in. But I did think the same thing too.

If i were to get them they would be 17x7.

get the fiesta 16inch version of the mp3 rims ;) Unique lol.

Personally i like the 17inch mp3. They are a fantastic looking stock wheel, the svt on the other hand... well they dont do much for me.
If you want new rims you can do a whole lot better than the svt's in my opinion

No Don't stop now!
We all think about the $$$ form time to time when it comes to new wheels, hell even I still look at wheels after I got my 17s.
B2TF you have done a few mods here and there but you need new wheels to separate yourself from budget tuner to average tuner like most of us.
Mind you there are some who take there cars to showcar levels but I don't think your planning this.
My choise of wheel was expensive but long term a know i made the right choise.Thay are unique and maybe 20 sets of these wheels are in AUS.

This is what i think you should look at:
OZ Racing
Team Dynamics
100+
FOX Racing
TSW
TOORA
1000 MIGLIA
KONIG

Since you looking at 5 spoke wheels this is my pick:

OZ Racing-17 or 18" RECORD
TSW-17 or 18" REFLEX
1000 MIGLIA-17 or 18" VR
TOORA-17 or 18" T250
TEAM DYNAMICS: Pro Race 2
Remmeber wheels make the most visual change to a car.
Maybe 2nd to a bodykit.

I hope this helps.

Cheers

Nick

those SVT rims don't float my boat at all, very plain

Here's an idea for you, get the MP rims fully polished.. I've seen a few of the factory Tickford rims polished up and they look like a completly different wheel

Hay now thats an idea.
ive seen wheels that have the front of the spokes polished but the sides and inside of wheel normal finish. looked pretty good.
might be worth a photoshop.

OR, why dont you get your 17inch mp3 wheels painted. Maybe a shadow Grey colour. TUNER

Either polish the MP3's or get them powder coated in shadow chrome but definitely don't keep them stock....

Otherwise here's some options...

SVT Rims in 17". Decent

Or do what I'm going to do eventually... Shadow Chrome ST170 rims, off the US SVT "European Appearance" package. Yummy. Machine silver and Shadow chrome 17" ST rims.... hot damn :

Yummy. Shame the US Focus is so BUTT ugly but hey, nice wheels!

Matt I won't steal your ST170 rims from you. TBH I dont think they would suit blue.

I should make clear that if i do change rims the new ones will be at least 17" in size, if a good set of 18's come up I might be tempted too.

It's their 5km/h regualtions on front/rear crash protection that force those big Gay Al style bumpers. Not nice at all. They simply LUST for our Euros. Aren't we lucky!!!

Well it's decided, the MP3's stay. Lowering will come in the next few weeks, should bring it all together hopefully.

Exhaust will also be finished by tomorrow night. The car's starting to come together!

The tip is on, its an awesome job too. The boss and I sat there for about 2 hours and did it :.

Next is intake fitting, then lowering which is coming very soon. not far away at all now.

I'll be nasty and save pics of the car until its lowered ;).
