R31 Skylines all the way, I had a series 2 two tone Silhouette with a 5 speed, I loved that car. The Aussie GTS1 & GTS2 are bloody nice and only 200 of each made

Love old jap cars, I've had a R100, RX2's;4's a R30 and a C210 skyline with 2.8 turbo.
But I miss my XR falcon the most, 3.6 and 3spd manual=made for cruisin.

IMO pre 80's jap is very different to modern japanese. Their little purple patch.

While its pretty obvious they were coping other countries styling traits, 2000GT is like a mini E type, RA28 (I think 28) Celica looks like a mustang etc. They still had their own style.

Modern Japanese seems to be just turbo efficiency, they have gone a bit sterile, with the odd exception.

I always dream of if I had the money to build a car empire... I'd buy Isuzu... and get them making beautiful little sporty cars again.

* Everyones favorite, the Datto 1600.
* 240Z.
* The original GTR Skyline 2000
* AE86 of course...still regret not buying one for the piddling price of $3500 back in 2007...
* My RA60 third-generation Celica of course...

I actually have the badges from a Cedric...some really soft metal, probably pure aluminium...cad plated gold. I have two "Cedrics" and a pair of "Custom Six" badges from one that was languishing in a wreckers yard in Bundaberg many years back.

I'll have to find them and scan them in.

My Grandmother had a Scorpion. My Grandfather upgraded it on her in 1992, and she pined after it from then until the day she handed in her license. Hers was red, 2.6, and Auto.

How about a Sigma Turbo GSR? 2.6ltr turbo four, five speed, all sorts of good gear and features. They were way ahead of thier time. Only came in red and black, but it looked good.

Beautiful,... my old man bought one of these with the belief (maybe rightly so), that they were the Mercedes of the East. I was a little too young to appreciate it ,but we had it long enough for me to take a couple of lessons in it, and I recall it had a strange 4 on the column shift. Always had a soft spot for it and think it is one of those very elegant japanese "limos"

Let them enjoy, some are more stylish than an ED.
Especially the mazdas and Isuzus styled by Italian styling houses.
