Default Google Earth

I'm bit of a Google Earth whore at the moment and I thought it would be a great idea to start a thread posting images of interesting places around the world.
To start with I've got Fords proving ground & Ayres Rock.

First time i used Google Earth I couldnt get off the bloody thing, you can tour the world in your seat. Good thing is you can switch on the placetags and see info on attractions, movie sites, famous houses, and historical sites. My brother looked up all the hotels he was staying in across Europe for his honeymoon, quite handy

Probably easier for people to post up their 'My places' file than post up pictures.

Apparently the piccys are anything from 2000 ........ We have found that the closer to the big smoke the more recent piccys ...........

The one of our place is missing a dam that was built in 2000 so this seems correct ........

Some weird x-files thing in China:

"man-made landscape in a remote part of China ...... small-scale model of a piece of territory complete with snow-topped mountains, streams and valleys"

Story here: http://www.smh.com.au/news/web/xfile...166503699.html

When I started using this I couldn't get off. But I used the free version which doesn't zoom in very far.

I looked at my house to identify what yeah it was (due to the cars in the driveway) the images are early 2000's

I was using Google Earth the other day and noticed that the pics for here have been updated somewhat.

When I zoomed in on work when we first had it, could see it clear as a bell, but if you look there now, you can't see it, because of cloud coverage.

Do we have any Google Earth gurus here that can help me?

About 10 years ago I walked Bloody Ridge on Guadalcanal, Solomon Islands with my father. I think I have located it:

Lat: 9°28'6.29"S
Lon: 160° 3'35.62"E

I know this is roughly the spot by it's proximity to Henderson Field Airport, but does anyone know how I can find the exact co-ordinates?

Thanks.

Edit: Second choice site could be:

Lat: 9°27'41.48"S
Lon: 160° 4'36.56"E

Here I can roughly make out what could be this picture I took while there:

Sorry for rambling on.... I would really like to find this spot.

I had a quick look for you Shockwave, but the picture isn't detailed enough to make it out...

EDIT - Hang on a tick, I was in the wrong spot... :

EDIT MKII - This is using the second set of co-ordinates...

Just went on a quick hunt then.

I've got the four theme parks sorted on the Gold Coast, as well as Disneyland in LA.
