Default Hatch creaks

This might sound like a weird question, but i was wondering if the rear hatch on a MA 2008 mondeo is adjustable. Only reason I enquire is because the rear hatch in my TDCi is creaking badly especially during the cold. The worst thing is you wouldnt expect it given that it has only travelled 62000kms.

Hi,

Happened to the hatch on our Telstar TX5 and now you know why we opted for a sedan. On the Telstar you could minimise the noise by adjusting the hatch door closer to the body but after a couple of adjustments there was panel mis-alignment. And when new seals were recommended we baulked at the cost.

It might just be that the seal needs some rubber lubricant - I think I would try this first.

If possible , i would give the hinges a good squirt/drowning of wd 40, or some sort of lube, and on the lock and catch as well, i use wd40 for that too , but dri lube on the lock striker is ok too.
