never heard of silverline. My advice, dont skimp out on brakes and brake quality. Be real careful when you choose these deals.

Buyer beware - sounds to me like a cheapie import - when considering brake components I always go for a known quality brand.

Mate, I wouldn't buy brake package if it cost $99.
Then again, brakes are one of the most important parts of the car so you might as well save some money in that department (also not wear a seat belt to complete the package)

On brakes..... Would you guys buy RDA slotted/dimpled for $420 a pair or DBA 4000 series slotted for $363 each. Please don't forget that this is for the T2, so they are bigger brakes than the norm.

silverline is the repco branded gear and as there brakes i would spend abit more dosh on them purely for safety and performance.

big-e

Im a big fan or DBA becuz of there design but always wondered how good the slotted & dimpled RDA rotors are but they dont have the same technology as DBA.

I buy my brakes from melb as its cheaper and i get them sent to my door and still save myself nearly $100.00 and ask for CAM

yeah mate its a good deal, if you are looking for something oem then go for it....any standard AU brake rotor is going to be average because its so small...... if you are looking for improved braking over the standard rubbish that is the AU falcon brake assembly then you would look a bit more upmarket..... bear in mind i spent $120 on a set of bendix ulitimates pads for the front of my AU and they did nothing more than the standard $60 set i had in before them......

Wow, $99 for discs and pads and fluid? Bargain. Usually rotors are $50 a side! And pads $60 or so, and brake fluid is cheap.
Silverline is real entry level stuff, but not shitty.

For the application that you are using them for (family hack etc) I'd go for it. In that category, a brake disc is a brake disc.

Yeah, solid/ventilated discs don't really vary too much at all
it's the pads that vary widely
i pulled off a set of terrible $19/pair taxi pads off my car and replaced them with $60/pair QFM ones
WHAT A DIFFERENCE!

I reakon its a good deal for standard driving.

The main trouble you will find with cheap rotors is warping - but if they come with a 12 month warranty, then why not.
