If I owned an AU, I doubt I would sell it. But if I did, I'd want to replace it with a BF LTD. God damn thats a nice ride.

Im not intending on getting rid of my Beautiful AU Fairmont, and my mother is not intending on getting rid of her AUXR6. However, when I finally save up again to Buy another car.. it will be a BAXR6Turbo -ive already designed a custom Bodykit for it! hehehe... im a few steps ahead of reality!

The change over is what stopped us 4 months ago from buying a BAXR6T

I can see our AU XR6 staying with us for many years to come , Its just not worth selling it , and besides its still a great car out:

Next on the list is a twin turbo volvo s80. I just love my big cruisers with a hint of power.

Yeah... If I'd Be Replacing The T1 It Would Be With A T3 Manual... T1's Good For Cruzen But I'd Rather Be Racing :-)

I wouldn't get rid of my wagon. Lets see T3 motor plus Fairmont and Fairlane Ghia interior in a wagon to carry more stuff. Cant get much better than that in my books.

I'd get rid of the wife's wagon and replace it with a forester turbo. Bit smaller, but a lot of fun.

I'd gladley see the back of my AU to get into an BA/BF XR8 or GT. The AU has out stayed it's welcome for quite sometime now, and if I could afford to upgrade to a B-Series, I'd off load it in a second.

I don't think I will ever own another AU. Always thought of the TS as being the ultimate car for me, but I think the B-Series wins hands down over the AU. Sorry boyz, but the AU doesn't do anything for me anymore. Give me boring motoring any day. The B-Series has too much appeal for me to go past.

Bucky I reckon if you had an AU V8 you'd love it. Next time I see you, have a spin of mine and see what you think.

Simple, you could practically swap your beast for a nice stock s3 AUXR8 sedan and having the pleasure of the ultimate Windsor V8 and still keeping the stylish look of the AUXR8. (Adam done the rite thing).
Trust me, seen and been in a few B-series at our club DECA Day and they handle like crap, even the lowered ones, never come close to the AU's,
especially when it came to engine revs :evil3:

PS - We've missed you Bucky, where have you been? :

Nice thought, but who on earth would swap a S3 XR6 for a S3 XR8.

I'd get nailed at trade, so she'll have to stay.

I've driven BA's and they handle so much better than the AU. The IRS I think is over rated as from Day one, it has always handled like a brick.

The other thing is that apart from the Shock mount and the Power Steering rack, nothing else has gone bad in the car. Mechanically it's been excellent.

is a conversion an option bucky. wait till chief does his and see how it goes, if you want to do it you may as well go the whole hog. Your car is far too good a base to start with to lose.

Bucky forget about getting nailed if you were to trade. What would you rather be in, an AU XR8 or possibly T Series or a BA XR8 or possibly a GT? Then go for it.

You have a great car at the moment, what about an engine coversion? Considering that the difference between your car value and an XR8 you could easliy drop an 8 in there.

If it was financially viable, I'd buy the XR8 sedan, put all your bits over onto it - wheels, bonnet, kit etc, then sell yours as a stocker.

I second that, Bucky your car looks horn no worries about that i wish i could have done that to my XR6 cause i love urs (minus stripes dun like any strips) take off the good bits and hopefully get a black XR8 and all parts will fit. Although if you can go a T you wont regret it one bit i love my TE to death dont get a BA they are dime a dozen even AU XR's arent really a common sight. Come have a drive of my TE and im sure you will stick eith an AU
