Default BRAND NEW au pursuit ute for sale on carsales!

well i would have thought that all the AUs would have been well and truly cleared out by now, but it appears this dealer has been sitting on a pursuit ute for the past couple of years! not sure about the price he is asking though, you can nearly get a BA pursuit for that much...

That thing has been on Carsales for as long as I can remember!! If they've still got it you'd think they'd quit it out for a screaming deal. Who would pay full retail for that now??

Also, I remember around Easter last year this mob had about 3 or 4 unsold AU3 XR8's as well. Did a search just now and it looks like they're still there but no photos.

What would you guys pay for one of these?? What would you do if it was your car yard??

If it were my yard, I would be left with no choice but to discount heavily. I mean, real heavy

I would love to have one of those, only I wouldn't pay over $40,000 unfortunately, since the XR6 T can hose it with 8psi (read: $1500) mod.

That is the dealer me and my dad go through, that is only still there because they have had two "buyers" that pulled out as they were doing the paperwork :jab: looks really good to.

considering the price and the fact that it probably has no warranty left they are gonna be hard pressed to sell it.
*ford told me that the warranty begins from the BUILD date not the date sold*

My local yard sold its last AU III new sedan a few weeks ago. It was a Fairmont Ghia with standard options, car retailed for $52,000 new and they sold it for $36,000....

Id say this one would be worth about $40,000 as it was a special car.

if it's sold as a new car.
the new car warranty starts when the new owner drives it out of the Ford dealer.

What did you buy Davway? and how long ago?

Was it a pre - registered demo??

Some dealers register cars for the sake of doing so to claim them as demos. Doesnt mean they get driven much.

I noticed the AU Pursuit quotes a rego number so if that's eaten into the warranty I'm sure the dealer could tee up an extended warranty as part of the deal. It certainly meets the criteria to be eligible for it.

How many km's on the Pursuit?

Also, dealers also register demos as "non-drive" demos, as in they are hardly driven.

2000 AU. bought it in 2001 second hand from a HOLDEN dealer : but always went to Ford to get it serviced and warranty work done. Ford said the warranty ran out 3 years from the build date.
although towards the end they were getting sick of seeing me.....i was pretty fussy about EVERYTHING with that car.
dont have it now so it doesnt really matter.

i thought the engine would be pretty much shagged just sitting there not being started and driven regularly etc.....

a mate of mine went to see a car for sale ( it was somewhat older) but it had been sittin around for a while, the guy started it up to show my mate (spozed to have a kind of beast engine) and i think the piston shot through or somethin....

somethin bad! all i know is my mate was like , "thanks, ill get back to ya" lmao
