No probs, you shouldn't really need any luck, they're pretty simple engines and can go suprisingly well with the right mods!

Have fun, and take plenty of pictures to share with us all if you can

What are you using to undo the bolts? Have you got the propper splined socket thingo or are you relying on allen keys??

nah im using the correct spline socket bit. ive been using an air drill as well and still no luck. ive tried all different methods but it wont budge. i tried using a socket wrench and attaching a pipe onto the end to turn it (was told it should give more strength behind it). well did it! resulted in a broken wrench. i dont know what to do besides taking it to a mechanic-what a pain in the ****!

not sure what brand the air drill is. ill check tomorrow. only cost me 85 bucks. however i did manage to remove all the other bolts with it, besides these three that are still stuck. i even hired an industrial air drill and that didnt help either.

ok bolts are out and engine is totally dismantled. i finally got those fu%$#n bolts out! just required a small sledgehammer and iron rod and some heavy belting :evil3: . even though i was hoping for everything to be perfect on the engine, i didnt expect it. once i got the head off cylinder 2 had all built up, looked like mud. only explanation is if there was some water jacket leak somehow (i couldnt see any cracks though). ill try to post up some pics of it in its current state.

Yes I can vouch for that book. In the end my esky was dynoed at 127hp at the rears. I ported the heads myself, I tried the apple port setup without the play dough inside, burtons vernier cam wheel, dave vizard valves etc
