Did not know where to post this so I figured this would be a decent place to start. Ive finally finished installing all my audio equipment including JVC headunit, JBL cross overs for the front and OA amp for them. Being the first time i've ever had tweeters i've never known how they sound etc. However they have a constant static distortion sound sound coming from them always.
On higher/mid range volumes I cant hear it but I know its there. Is it just the way my amps tuned at the moment or is this normal operation of tweeters. Many thanks for any advice. -Zak |

You might want to check the grounding. I've grounded my amp to the rear seat bolts.

did u run the RCA leads and the remote/power wire on seperate sides of the car? i know that is causes static in the speakers when turned up,
Tweeters should be no diffrent to normal 6"/5x7"/6x9" etc only diffrence is its dedicated treble so its a lot crisper sound |

the RCA leads do pass over the main power wire, is it worth starting by moving these around? My ground is on the handbrake lever bracket bolt, a good earth.
