I have been looking at new AU headlights and have discovered they come in silver (AU1 it seems) and chrome (AU2&3 +AU1 Fairmont).
My ute is a Series 3 and it has silver. Our AU2 sedan has chrome, but I would rather silver replacement units in my ute, will the silver AU1 units fit and wire up correctly? |

The internal surrounds are interchangeable (if you are handy with a heatgun or oven) once you pull the front cover off the headlight.

The external light housings are the same regardless of Series models. Fairmonts got an Orange reflecter cap for the indicator and the lower models didn't as well.
It's just the internal bezel surrounds that changed. T-series got black or body-coloured ... depending on series and model type as well.
